Pluto”s entry into Capricorn and the profound changes accompanying it, continue to deepen and take effect. In a recent essay it was stated that Capricornian entities would be feeling the brunt of Pluto’s force as it made its way through the sign of the Goat.
Pluto made its third and final entry into Capricorn on November 27. No sooner had Pluto passed thought the zodiac gate then India a Capricorn personality, sustained a terrorist attack upon one of her three major capitals Mumbai. The Pluto ingress into Capricorn was November 27, 6:33 am (Mumbai time) and the first attack was that night at 9:15 pm. The chart for the Pluto ingress is most potent, with Pluto-ruled Scorpio rising (in the last degree) and Moon in Scorpio.
The first attack at 9:15 pm saw Pluto only 1′ of arc into Capricorn; it was also less than one hour before the new moon in Sagittarius. This horoscope sees a line up of Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars all conjunct in Sagittarius – the major conduit in this cycle for the forces of the sixth ray of devotion and idealism – the outgoing ray that heavily influences all fanatics, fundamentalists and terrorists. The rising sign degree in Leo fell on the middle of the Leo stellium contained in the India-Pakistan partition horoscopes.
Pluto is of course the co-ruler of the first ray of Will or Power, particularly the power or destroyer aspect. The first ray is also the soul ruler of this ancient nation, corresponding to the fact that the Hindu subrace is the first subrace of the Fifth Rootrace – it is the foundation of all the western subraces: Ancient Egyptian (2nd subrace), Arab-Semitic (3rd subrace), Celtic-Latin (4th subrace) and Nordic-Teutonic (5th subrace); hence her destiny is profound:
“India hides the light and that light, when released upon the world and revealed to humanity, will bring about harmony in the form aspect; things will then be clearly seen as they are and will be freed from glamour and illusion; this harmonising light is sorely needed in India itself and when it has been manifested it will bring about the right functioning of the first Ray of Power or Government. The will of the people will then be seen in the light.”1
The phrase that India “will bring about harmony in the form aspect” is most appropriate as it has a fourth ray personality, the ray of Harmony through Conflict also known as the ray of Art and Beauty. Yet what happened in Mumbai was anything but beautiful, a cold blooded massacre by fundamentalist extremists. The event brought up the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan – who can be seen as one entity, given the relatively recent artificial separation between the two nations – based upon religious divisiveness – Hindu and Muslim.
Pakistan (and Bangladesh for that matter) is most likely conditioned by the same rays and astrological signs as India. Indeed, they share the same exoteric birth chart, dated for the time of partition.
That the two powers are antagonistic to one another and are both armed with nuclear weapons (ruled also by the first ray and Pluto), is of course one of the greatest concerns around the world. The fact that Pakistan is in a shaky position politically, bordering the equally unstable Afghanistan, further compounds the situation. One of the major forces to be reckoned with here is that of Capricorn, the sign which esoterically conditions the personality of these nations:
“India, governed by Capricorn, has been a battlefield right down the ages2 … Austria, Greece, India, Japan and Spain have Capricorn as their personality rulers, indicating age, crystallisation and materialism …3 Capricorn rules the knees and this is symbolically true, for only when the Capricornian subject learns to kneel in all humility and with his knees upon the rocky mountain top to offer his heart and life to the soul and to human service, can he be permitted to pass through the door of initiation and be entrusted with the secrets of life. Only on his knees can he go through that door.
As long as he arrogantly stands where he has not earned the right to stand, he can never safely be given the information which is imparted to all true initiates. The ancient mode of pilgrimage in India, by which the devotee passed or progressed from one holy place to another upon his knees, is indicative of this deep need of the Capricornian for humility. India is ruled by Capricorn and India knows this truth. Though India has permitted the physical act to usurp the place of a spiritual attitude, yet the symbolic meaning is eternally true. When the man born in Capricorn can kneel in spirit and in truth, he is then ready for the initiatory process upon the mountain top.”4
The pride-humility equation is certainly most marked between India and Pakistan. Witness the infamous changing of the guard ceremony held daily at one of the border posts (near Wagah) between the two nations. This colorful spectacle attracts many onlookers because of the extraordinarily exaggerated posturing and posing that goes on between the two sides – like two peacocks facing off against each other, an oriental Zoolander of sorts. Indeed, the exoteric chart for India-Pakistan partition sees no less than five planets in prideful Leo! (See also here.)
The Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul tells us that many nations have not even reached the stage of personality integration, and if this is true, then how can the higher self of that nation work through an unintegrated personality?
“Some nations are fluid and not properly integrated as are the masses of people everywhere; others are integrated entities, or fully expressing personalities; others are crystallised and have nearly run their course as personalities;”5
When discussing nations in World War II, The Tibetan further states that France at that time had an integrated personality, whilst Germany did not6 – underlining the danger and unpredictability of an unintegrated personality. Hence, just because India is the largest democracy in the world, it does not mean that it or Pakistan are necessarily integrated personalities. Pakistan, bordering on becoming a “failed state”, may well qualify as being unintegrated. When we consider Pakistan and India as one entity, we could say that it is definitely unintegrated – a split personality if you will, two warring brothers from the same womb.
“A study of the characteristics and qualities of the man who is born in the sign Capricorn will reveal a great deal anent the human family because the Capricornian can express all the worst of which a man is capable and all the best. It is a sign of extremes, and this because at the time there were only ten signs, Capricorn was the first on the ordinary wheel and the last on the reversed wheel. This is obvious. Esoterically, all world Saviours and Sun Gods are born in Capricorn but also the very worst type of man – hard, materialistic, cruel, proud, selfishly ambitious and egoistic. The head rules the heart in such cases, whereas in the perfect example of the influences of Capricorn, head and heart are perfectly balanced.”7
Another point to consider is that Mumbai is probably the throat centre of India, being the financial capital, it is like the New York of India. Delhi is the political capital and most likely therefore, the crown chakra, whilst Calcutta as a rich cultural centre could qualify as the heart. Thus it is interesting that the Mumbai attacks have been called India’s 9/11. And just as the conspiracy theories rage about the New York 9/11, so it has been said that the Mumbai attacks were a “false flag” operation – for various intentions and agendas.
Israel and Palestine: Gaza Invasion Christmas 2008
At the time of this writing Israel is conducting its second day of unprecedented attacks on Gaza, inflicting many casualities. It appears to be trying to completely devastate its opponent, bringing in the ruthless forces of the first ray again.
One third of the Jewish Race focus their lives through the potent enclave of Israel. The Jewish Race has an identical soul ray and zodiacal personality as India: a first ray soul and a Capricorn personality.
The attack on Gaza could well have been timed by an astrologer. Just as Pluto had barely entered Capricorn in the Mumbai attacks, so in the Middle East, Mars had only just slipped into Capricorn when Israel launched is assault on Gaza. Hence at the start of and during the height of the attack, Mars was making an exact conjunction to Pluto – in the first degree of Capricorn, guaranteeing some sort of ferocious conflagration. Mars is exalted in Capricorn:
“Mars is the God of War, the Producer of conflicts, and in this earthly sign Mars triumphs in the early stages of the evolution of the fourth Creative Hierarchy and in the life history of the undeveloped and average man. Materialism, the fight for the satisfaction of personal ambitions, and the conflict with higher spiritual tendencies goes steadily forward, and this most material of all the signs is the battleground of the old established order and habits and the new and higher inclinations and tendencies. India, governed by Capricorn, has been a battlefield right down the ages…”8
Is Israel being motivated by “materialism, the fight for the satisfaction of personal ambitions” or does its aspire toward “higher spiritual tendencies” that go “steadily forward”? Various commentators have said that, (a) Israel was the interloper right from the very start of the Zionist agenda in the 19th century, and that (b) Israel is the “elder brother” to its Palestinian neighbour.
Hence the argument goes, it is incumbent upon Israel to cultivate a spirit of generosity and giving. Yet the opposite has occurred; its gradual strangling of life and resources in Gaza has been compared by a spokesperson for the U.N. to the Warsaw ghetto of WWII – i.e. the Israelis are doing to the Palestinians what the Nazis did to the Jews. Blackest of ironies!
Yet Israel has always been in the stranglehold of the Zionists – who also have an enormous influence in Washington, a challenge with which the incoming Obama government will have to contend – or have the Zionists assured their position already?
The timing of the attack, right at the end of the Bush administration, whilst the US government is in “no man’s land” and many were taking their holidays, was no doubt deliberate and pre-determined. Speaking toward the end of WWII, The Tibetan tells us:
“The leaders of the Zionist movement of aggression constitute a real danger to world peace and human development and their activities have been endorsed by the expediency policy of the U.S.A. and, in a secondary degree, by Great Britain, under the influence of the U.S.A. It is the Zionists who have defied the United Nations, lowered its prestige and made its position both negative and negligible to the world. It is the Zionists who have perpetrated the major act of aggression since the formation of the United Nations, and who were clever enough to gain the endorsement of the United Nations, turning the original “recommendation” of the United Nations into an order.
The rule of force, of aggression and of territorial conquest by force of arms is demonstrated today by the Zionists in Palestine, as well as the demonstration of the power of money to purchase governments. These activities run counter to all the plans of the spiritual Hierarchy and mark a point of triumph of the forces of evil.”9
Let there be no mistake, the position of the Zionists is as strong as ever but it is beyond the scope of this article to explore it further at this stage. Most poignant is the fact that the ruler of Capricorn is Saturn, whose position is currently in Virgo, the sign of soul of the Jewish Race. What opportunities lie here for some sort of soul-personality alignment between Virgo and Capricorn? It seems that Israel’s unintegrated (?) personality is simply taking the point of least resistance.
When the exoteric chart for Israel is considered, we find that the recent Scorpio full moon fell directly on Israel’s Sun, whilst Mars in Taurus was closely square to Mars in Israel’s horoscope – it was only a matter of time for these tensions to explode.
The situation is of course complex and much has been written on this before. Both sides have divisions – yet both sides, like India and Pakistan are part of the one body of Semitic tribes. Israel will not solve the Palestinian problem with her current actions – it will only drive the hatred and resentment deeper and perpetuate the cycle of revenge. One has only to witness on television the outrage around the world in both the Arab and non-Arab nations.
The principle of generosity and sharing must prevail, this is Israel’s higher calling, represented by its ascendant, Aquarius the Water Bearer. Israel could be a shining example in the world – it could create a world kibbutz, showing how universal co-operation can be brought about. Yet it must cultivate a spirit of service and nurturement to its younger Palestinian brother. Until it does so, it will only incur more resentment from its Arab neighbours and other Islamic fundamentalists who will be bent on destroying Israel
