What is Cancer’s “Lighted House”?
The lighted house is the causal body, home of the Ego or soul – built over many lifetimes from the extracted essences of every incarnation. These essences are sometimes called sattvas, representing an harmonised quality of knowledge that has been gleaned through incarnation, spanning the whole spectrum of human experience.
“By the bringing together … of Spirit and matter, and their coherence by means of force (spiritual will) – that objective system, the causal body, is being produced; it is the product of transmuted desire, whose characteristic (when fully demonstrated) will be love, the expression eventually on the physical plane of buddhi.”3

Hence, with each incarnation, the soul assumes expanded knowledge and understanding, wisdom and love – the latter quality being the essential nature of the soul, not yet fully realised but glimpsed at many intervals.
This expanded knowledge pertains to the fact that the causal body is located upon the higher three subplanes of the mental plane, also known as the higher mind or abstract mind.
The higher three subplanes, counting from above down, correlate to the three main qualities of Will, Love and Intelligence. Also within the causal body reside the 12 petals of the egoic lotus (the heart chakra), that are gradually unfolded over thousands of incarnations – in different bodies, cultures, nations and rootraces.
The first tier of three knowledge petals, the second tier of three love petals and the third tier of three sacrifice petals. Again, we have the “three aspects” of intelligence-knowledge, love and will-sacrifice. The inner bud of three petals are the last to unfold, leading up to the fourth initiation when Liberation is reached, the causal body is destroyed and monadic consciousness is achieved:
“The light blazes forth, irradiating the causal body, and lighting up the entire sutratma, or thread (literally the Path) which connects the causal vehicle with the physical brain.
Then disintegration or destruction ensues; the causal body vanishes in a blaze of electrical fire, and the real “man” or self is abstracted from the three world-bodies.”4
An analogy might be the cultivation of a rose bush with all its thorny branches of experience over countless lifetimes, that leads to opening of its flower, releasing the soul’s aroma.
Similarly with the lotus flower, its roots deep in the mud of obscurity, with its flower floating upon the surface. The rose is more of a Western symbol, whilst the lotus is of the East.
“Is the house you are building yet lit? Is it a lighted house, or is it a dark prison? If it is a lighted house, you will attract to its light and warmth all who are around you and the magnetic pull of your soul, whose nature is light and love, will save many.
If you are still an isolated soul, you will have to pass through the horrors of a more complete isolation and loneliness, treading alone the dark way of the soul. Yet this isolation, this loneliness and this separation in the dark night are all part of the Great Illusion.
It is, however, an illusion into which the whole of humanity is now precipitated in preparation for unity, freedom and release. Some are lost in the illusion and know not what is reality and truth.
Others walk free in the world of illusion for the purposes of saving and lifting their brothers, and if you cannot do this, you will have to learn so to walk.”5
Cancer-Capricorn, Saturn-Sirius
As mentioned regularly, there are seven zodiac signs that channel the forces of Sirius through to planet Earth. Gemini, Cancer-Capricorn, Leo and Scorpio are some of the most important, but particularly the sequence of Gemini, Cancer and Leo.
“Sirius influences our entire solar system, via the three synthesising schemes, Uranus, Neptune and Saturn.”6
Bear in mind that Sirius is regarded as the higher self to our solar system as a whole, representing the most popular cosmic path that most of liberated Humanity will eventually choose, beginning a higher evolution.
Hence, Gemini and Cancer serve as warm-up act for Leo – literally the “star” of the show. Future Leo full moon festivals will be dedicated to invoking Sirian forces and Sirius is said to “rule” Leo.
Gemini
“Gemini … is cosmically related … to Sirius. Gemini forms a point of entrance for cosmic energy from Sirius …
… The great White Lodge on Sirius is the spiritual prototype of the great White Lodge on Earth, of which modern Masonry is the distorted reflection, just as the personality is a distorted reflection of the soul.7
Cancer-Capricorn (and Saturn)
This is particularly pertinent in 2026 because the Sun-Moon opposition of the full moon on June 29 will be making a T-square to Saturn in Aries. (More on that below.) In the following relationship, Sirius assumes the role of the “first aspect” or “electric fire”:

“Cancer – Capricorn – Saturn (which are an expression of Sirian energy) enable the aspirant to tread the Path of Purification, of Probation. These energies focus and qualify the energy of the Great Lodge of the Most High in that distant Sun [Sirius].
They pour through the Hierarchy upon the mass of men and enable the unit in that mass to “isolate himself and turn his back upon the past and find his way on to that section of the Path wherein he learns to feel.”8
Note the word “probation” – the aspirant upon the Path of Purification is “on probation”, reflected in earthly laws when an offender is “placed on probation”.
Taking this analogy a little further, all of humanity are “offenders” (or “prisoners of the planet”), until they have learned to live under Solar Law, achieved by rejection of the involutionary lunar path and, through initiations into the Greater Mysteries. (Cancer is a sign associated with “lunar laws” relating to form.)
Note also the phrase, “isolate himself and turn his back upon the past and find his way on to that section of the Path wherein he learns to feel.”
Cancer is one of the main (water) zodiac signs of feeling, representing refinement and integration of the astral body and its competency to be a fit vehicle for higher forces pouring through from the soul:
“These two – the Moon and Neptune – are, therefore, the direct influences which are brought to bear upon the Cancer subject and thus lead to the unfoldment of the form of life and of the emotional-astral body.
The supreme usefulness of these aspects will be grasped if you will intelligently realise that without the form and without the ability to bear in mind the need to respond sensitively to the environing conditions and circumstance, the soul would never awaken to knowledge in the three worlds and, therefore, would never know God in manifestation.”9
What is the Fifth Creative Hierarchy in the diagram above? The Creative Hierarchies are the most profound and esoteric basis of the zodiacal signs.
The 5th Creative Hierarchy is Capricorn, ruled over by Venus at its highest level. One description of many follows about this grouping of lives:
“They save through love, and in Their turn these lives are peculiarly close to the great Heart of Love of the solar Logos.
These great redeeming Angels, Who are the Sons of Men on their own true plane, the mental, are ever, therefore, pictured as taking the form of twelve-petalled lotuses—this symbology linking them up with “the Son of Divine Love,” the manifested solar system, which is said to be a cosmic twelve-petalled lotus, and with the logoic causal lotus, equally of a twelve-petalled nature.”10
June 29 Full Moon T-Square
Saturn is at the point of a T-square to Sun-Moon. Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, is in “detriment” in Cancer and “falls” in Aries – each position having an unique meaning.
Saturn is one of the four lords of karma in this solar system, the most well-known – and linked to the Sirian Law of Karma. Saturn is the mind, ruling the human throat centre. Similarly Sirius,
“… the energy of thought, or mind force, in its totality, reaches the solar system from a distant cosmic centre via Sirius. Sirius acts as the transmitter, or the focalising centre, whence emanate those influences which produce self-consciousness in man.”11

Saturn in Capricorn As ruler of Capricorn – a sign of initiation, Saturn confers a disciplined mind that can bring the disciple to the threshold of initiation.
Saturn in Cancer – “Produces difficult conditions and situations which will lead to the needed struggle … consequent sacrifices and pains, in order to salvage the lives with which it had an affinity.”12
Saturn in Aries – (June 29) “Saturn “falls” in Aries … the Lord of Karma, … imposer of retribution … demands full payment of all debts and who therefore condemns us to the struggle for existence, both from the form side and from the soul side. Saturn, therefore, “fell” when man fell into generation. He “followed the sons of men down into their low place.”
Second: Saturn’s power is completely ended and his work accomplished when man (the spiritual man) has freed himself from Karma and from the power of the two Crosses—the Common and the Fixed. Esoterically, Saturn cannot follow man on to the Cardinal Cross.”13
Therefore, summing up – this T-square to Saturn from Sun in Cancer and Moon in Capricorn, is a potent point of tension invoking the forces of Sirius, continuing to anchor the Sirian Law of Karma on Earth via Saturn in Aries.
For the few thus prepared, this full moon pattern may also be one that provides opportunity to stand before the One Initiator.
Venus in Leo: Invoking Sirius and Liberation (June 13 to Aug.9, 2026)

Venus in Leo is a magnetic, charismatic position that this author sometimes refers to as the “movie star” – e.g. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, or Greta Garbo and Selma Hayek. The radiance of Sun-ruled Leo is most complementary to Venus – the most sparkling of visible planets.
Esoterically, Venus in Leo links to the mighty star Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. Venus is regarded as the “higher self” or “alter ego” to Earth – and is one of the planets that transmits energies from Sirius – regraded as the “higher self” to this solar system as a whole.
Venus rules the Fifth Ray of Knowledge or Science, one of the two rays that find expression through Leo, the fifth sign, associated with the fifth plane of mind or manas. The mental body part of the aura is Leo the Lion’s “mane” – and strength. Hence, the current transit of Venus in Leo clears the way for the Sirian festival in August:
“… the major, monthly festival in August, held at the time of the full moon, will be dedicated to the task of making contact, via the Hierarchy, with Sirian force … Sirius governs Leo.”14
Although the “influence of Sirius is not consciously felt until after the third initiation”,15 its energy as a guiding force can be invoked in individual or group meditation. This is because the Path to Sirius will be the major one that souls on Earth will choose, once they have achieved Liberation.
As the 5th and 1st rays pass through Leo – there is Leo’s great power as a ruler and benign sovereign of its domain – expressing the two inextricably entwined paths of love and mind, heart and head. The fixed star Regulus will also be invoked when Venus leaves Leo around Aug. 9:
“The influences of Sirius, three in number, are focussed in Regulus, which is, as you know, a star of the first magnitude and which is frequently called “the heart of the Lion.”16
Venus is traditionally known as the planet of love and relationships, through its skill at reconciling opposites and the creation of harmony and beauty upon the mental plane, filtering down eventually to the astral plane – where “love” and sex are experienced for Humanity as a whole.
Birth of Venus (Duval)
Yet, we are informed that Venus, “… has been erroneously connected in the minds of men with sex and the sex life”, and here is where we enter into the deep esoteric reason for Venus being the esoteric ruler of Gemini:
“It was the activity of Venus—under the influence of Gemini—which produced the great crisis of the individualisation when the two kingdoms “approached” each other. [Animal kingdom and kingdom of souls.]
Venus, Mercury and the Earth then set up a magnetic field which made the intervention of the Great Lodge on Sirius and the dual stimulation of Gemini effective – in producing significant results of which the fourth [human] kingdom in nature is the expression.
The fact that Gemini is the third sign and embodies what is called “a third potency” [active-intelligence] enabled it to reach, with its force, the third [animal] kingdom and produce that reaction which resulted in the individualising or the humanising of its higher forms of life. [Before individualisation humanity were “un-individualised” members of the animal kingdom.]
… this fact will be noted in the month of June … when the influences of Gemini are peculiarly strong, due advantage will be taken in order to bring man nearer to the spiritual realities.
… Venus was potent in producing the relation of such pairs of opposites as the fifth kingdom of souls and the third kingdom (the synthesis of the sub-human kingdoms) leading to a Great Approach between soul and form … this fact will be recognised.
Venus and Mars (Spranger)
Appeal will be made to the Forces which can utilise this planetary potency in order to work out the divine plan upon the Earth. It is because Venus thus relates certain pairs of opposites that she has been erroneously connected in the minds of men with sex and the sex life and with the relation of the physical opposites, male and female.”17
Well, there is a “spanner in the works” for exoteric astrologers! Anyway … both Sirius and Venus were responsible for the awakening of consciousness in the hitherto “animal humanity” in ancient Lemuria, 21.6 million years ago:
“The sun “Sirius” is the source of logoic manas … and Venus was responsible for the coming in of mind in the Earth chain. Each was primary to the other, or was the agent which produced the first flicker of consciousness in the particular [soul] groups involved.”18 (Readers can find all of this explained in greater detail in the author’s book, The Hidden History of Humanity I.)

Sirian “cosmic manas” or mind, reaches this solar system as Love-Wisdom – we inhabit a “second ray” (love-wisdom) system – in this particular cycle. Venus in Leo therefore, represents “intelligent love”.
The Venus-ruled 5th ray of knowledge, has an intimate relationship to the Jupiter-ruled 2nd ray of Love-Wisdom. This relation comes into focus on the 7-fold colour wheel, where orange (5th ray) is opposite indigo blue (2nd ray).
During the next five weeks to Aug. 9, transiting Venus in Leo has the capacity to unify the love/mind principles – “thinking in the heart”; the potential to invoke realisation of the Sirian principles of freedom and liberation.

The Cancer Solstice: Time and No Time
The Sun moves into Cancer on June 21 at 8.24 GMT, marking the northern hemisphere summer solstice.
As the Earth is oriented to the north pole star Polaris, the summer solstice theme arguably dominates both hemispheres – with the power of solar forces strengthening.
“Sol-stice” means literally “sun stands still’ because the Sun appears to rise in the same place for three days – having reached its maximum declination between the equator and the ecliptic.
The Celestial Sphere: The four cardinal points mark out these two ecliptic and equator circles.
The solstice in Cancer is a doorway into birthing that which began in Aries – beginning of the new year. These four cardinal cross signs Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, represent “re-set” points of the year where the experiences of each quarter are assimilated and consolidated. Is your new year resolution initiated in Aries, still on track for the remainder of the 12 month zodiac cycle?
Linear and spirallic time …
As the Sun is a measurer of time – and as time is an illusion, especially when the Sun appears to stand still, the solstice period is an opportunity to transcend the illusion of linear time, in which the whole world is immersed; to move into “no time” or “now time” – or the eternal now – the deepest recesses of the heart.
Studying the astronomical diagram of the Celestial Sphere – the ecliptic represents time, as its invisible circle describes the year it takes for the Earth to move around the Sun. The equator represents space, as it is the division that is made between the northern and southern hemispheres.
They are the equinoxes and solstices – where space and time meet, bringing the possibility to transcend the illusion of space-time; they are initiatory doorways to align with the inner, timeless realms – the real world – devoid of illusion.
New Moon in Gemini Alignment (June 16)
The new moon in Gemini brought a light, joyous touch – the still in-orb conjunction of Jupiter exalted in Cancer with Venus in Leo.
The Sun-Moon were also close to the galactic centre, bringing the sense that some kind of cosmic revelation is at hand.
These phone photos were taken a couple of hours after sunset and the Moon had moved from Gemini to Cancer by this time, showing its first silver sliver in the sign it rules.
And what a stunning line-up, with Jupiter nearby and Venus further up! The two pointer stars – Castor and Pollux (The twins of Gemini) are close, directly above the moon, faint in some photos but more clearly defined in one shot.
The moon is also conjunct what looks another faint star at the 7 o’clock position just below it. This may well be Mercury, which at 10 pm was exactly conjunct the Moon in Cancer.
The Sabian Symbol for the 21st degree of Cancer is “A prima donna singing”, a good reflection for Venus in Leo! (See more photos for June 17/18 on Facebook here.)

New Circle on the Solstice
Another enigmatic pattern laid down in the fields of Britain’s southwest appeared on the solstice. As always there will be various interpretations, here is one perspective.
Given that the Sun has just moved into Cancer, one of the signs of the cardinal cross, the cross of four “eyes” in the inner circle suggests the four cardinal directions north, east, west and south – through which they see: Bringing the NEWS – inner and outer.
The eyes also have the shape of the Vesica Piscis, said to be a gateway between spirit and matter.
The central circle is the Sun, while the eight outer circles are the cardinal cross repeated with the four intermediate points of the compass – north-east, south-west etc. These latter points also correspond to the four Celtic festivals of Beltane, Samhain etc.
The eight outer circles might also represent the eight phases of the lunar month – waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous etc.
Overall, a dynamic mandala with the central Solar Logos radiating its vitality in all directions – at a time when Earth’s pole is at maximum tilt toward the Sun for the next couple of days.
Energy Centre Effects during Cancer (Updated variation on a 2006 article.)
What centres (chakras) would we expect to see activated while the Sun is in Cancer? For the majority upon the mutable cross (unawakened) – the sacral and solar plexus centres. The sacral = survival needs and Cancer is the mother who provides the first basics of food, shelter and protection.

(Note, the three crosses in this context – mutable, fixed and cardinal, refer generically to stages/incarnations of evolution, not to the personal horoscope.)
The solar plexus = the watery nature of Cancer, its astral-psychic sensitivity, fear etc. For those who have “mounted” the fixed cross and taken some early initiations – the heart centre – with which God of the Waters Neptune is closely associated.
Hence, Neptune’s esoteric co-rulership of the solar plexus and Cancer the Crab: The salty matrix/mother from where all life emerged. The unconditional love of the mother for her child becomes the unconditionality of the open-hearted server-nurturer-midwifer of The Plan.
Traditional Cancer ruler – the Moon, regulates the ocean tides and is intimately related to the creation of all forms in the human, animal and vegetable kingdoms.
Even for many upon the Path, the main stimulation while the Sun is in Cancer is often in the solar plexus. As noted earlier, Cancer’s soul ruler Neptune is a co-ruler (along with Mars) of the solar plexus centre.
Mars is the “lower light” of the solar plexus that brings much conflict in balancing the opposites, while Neptune is the “higher light” that serves as a bridge to the heart centre.
During the Sun’s transit through Cancer, this sign’s Moon rulership can trigger the lunar unconscious: roller coaster emotions, being “crabby”, hanging onto the past, clinging to belief, distorted mystical perception, money and resource worries – much of it driven by fear:
“It will now be clear to you why the Moon and Neptune, transmitting the energies of the psychic nature and of form, plus the tendency to achieve through the medium of conflict [fourth ray], rule Cancer so potently, both directly and indirectly.
They control the form and the lower psychic nature and produce the battle ground (later to be transmuted into the burning ground) – whereon these two “face in the final conflict” their higher correspondence, the soul and spirit, for matter is spirit at its lowest point and spirit is matter at its highest.”19
Positively, during Cancer one may have warm emotional experiences, vivid dreams or meditation downloads (Neptune) and retrospectives that clarify the present.
It is said that, “… reaction to sensitive emotion-feeling has played an active and an educational part in the awakening of the mind“.20
This is interesting, as the two rays which pass through Cancer – ray 3 (active-intelligence) and ray 7 (organisation, order) – are on the mental “odd ray line”. Yet these rays are distributed by “even ray” bodies (Moon-Neptune) on the heart line, hence Cancer has the capacity to help synthesise the expression of love and mind.
Planetary centres that may be affected during Cancer are Cancer-ruled New York, Washington and Tokyo, or countries like Scandinavia and the Netherlands – ruled by Cancer at the personality level.
Venezuela’s Massive Double Quake
On June 24 at 18.04 local time, two quakes (7.5 and 7.2 magnitude) occurred within 38 seconds of one another, creating extensive damage and the loss of thousands of lives. The event horoscope has several tell-tale patterns that reflect the devastation.
1. Transiting Moon in Scorpio square Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto, co-ruler of Scorpio and lord of the underworld, also known as the Destroyer.
The exact square of moon to Pluto was about six hours earlier, at the actual impact the moon was in a separating square. Nonetheless, the build-up of forces during that period were unleashed with overwhelming power.
The gravitational force of the Moon is well known to contribute to Earth shifts and the full moon is approaching on June 29. The Moon is the ruler of Cancer where the Sun is currently transiting.
The Moon in Scorpio had also just made its first opposition to Chiron in earthy Taurus, since that asteroid/planetoid recently entered this sign. Transiting Jupiter in late Cancer was also closely square to Chiron.
2. The moon is in a T-square formation with Venus in Leo opposite Pluto. Venus has been noted as present in earthquake horoscopes.
Venus is conjunct the pointer star Dubhe – whose influence, “… guides humanity upon the involutionary path, and is constantly active in its influence upon the man who is still upon the Mutable Cross.”21
3. Uranus has also been noted consistently to be present in earthquake events – it was squaring the north-south node axis in Pisces-Virgo. As a planet that rules electricity, it appears to stimulate electrical activity within the earth. Uranus is the ruler/dispositor of Pluto in Aquarius.
In the solstice ingress horoscope for June 21 – influencing this next quarter of the year, the astro-cartographic Uranus-Ascendant line passes very close to Caracas and the main epicentre in Yaracuy/Valencia, about 50 km’s away. Uranus in Gemini can be an unstable influence.
Transiting Mars in earthy Taurus was also approaching its conjunction to Uranus in Gemini, exact on July 4. This in itself spells an interesting solar return chart for the USA!
4. Sun in mother-earth Cancer, opposite Earth in Capricorn – T-square Neptune in Aries. Neptune is usually associated with resulting tsunami’s and not generally linked by astrologers to earthquakes per se.
However, it can be associated with significant seismic events, by its interaction with other planets – in this case it makes a close sextile to Uranus in Gemini.
Interesting to note that the astro-cartographic Neptune/MC line runs straight through the area of northern California that had a 5.6 quake earlier on the same day, June 24. The Sun-Desc line was also passing south of Venezuela, in orb of influence.
Human Interference?
Venezuela has had a long history of devastating earthquakes since its inception in 1811 – large magnitude quakes once every 30 to 35 years.
Yet many observers are asking if this “doublet” came about as a result of oil drilling practices – or even the use of nefarious technologies such as HAARP or tectonic weapons that can create earthquakes.

A deliberate technological attack can easily be dismissed as “conspiracy theory” but the question cannot be evaded.

The rise of AI and its misuse is regarded by many as the greatest threat to Humanity, in terms of population control and environmental degradation from data centres.
All these technology issues come under the reign of Pluto in Aquarius, the planet of power in the sign of science.
