Scorpio and the Star Sirius
“Scorpio is under the influence or inflowing energy of Sirius. This is the great star of initiation because our Hierarchy (an expression of the second aspect of divinity) is under the supervision or spiritual magnetic control of the Hierarchy of Sirius.
These are the major controlling influences whereby the cosmic Christ works upon the Christ principle in the solar system, in the planet, in man and in the lower forms of life expression.
It is esoterically called the “brilliant star of sensitivity.” For the first time in the history of both mankind and disciples the energy of Sirius, pouring into the seven groups which form our planetary Hierarchy evokes a response.”2

Those “seven groups” are the seven ray ashrams with which all those upon the Path are affiliated, depending upon their soul ray – Love-Wisdom, Will-Power etc. Sirian forces also pass through seven zodiac signs: Scorpio is one of the three water signs that predominate, plus two earth signs, one fire sign and one air sign.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto – who presides over the underworld, that which lies hidden and unredeemed within each incarnate being. Pluto’s role is to reveal by bringing the hidden to the surface – into the light of day.
Hence, Scorpio is a sign where candidates for initiation must illuminate the darkness as they undergo trials that test their fitness to pass the second initiation – over which Scorpio generically rules.
Scorpio – also known as the fourth Creative Hierarchy, rules over and tests humanity, known collectively as the world disciple.
The fourth ray of Harmony through Conflict is the main conditioning ray of Humanity – corresponding to the Sirian Fourth Cosmic Path which the bulk of liberated humans will eventually choose – of the seven available:

As we enter the waning crescent moon period of the month, leading to the darkness of the balsamic moon – four days before the Scorpio new moon on Nov. 9, these Sirian forces may be powerfully felt.
Amplified no doubt, by the sojourn of Venus through the underworld and Mercury retrograde in Scorpio – the hierarchical ruler of Scorpio and co-ruler of the Fourth Ray of Harmony through Conflict.
But it is also a period wherein the Materialistic Forces may take advantage – in waging war, chaos and destruction. Hence a danger period in which the Forces of Light should be powerfully invoked – especially through group meditation, using the original Great Invocation to invoke the Lords of Liberation:
Let the Forces of Light bring illumination to mankind.
Let the Spirit of Peace be spread abroad.
May men of goodwill everywhere meet in a spirit of cooperation.
May forgiveness on the part of all men be the keynote at this time.
Let power attend the efforts of the Great Ones.

Spain’s Tragic Train Crash: A Global Metaphor
This second high speed train crash in one year, left 69 dead and many injured, leading to widespread public demonstrations in Spain and three days of mourning. An automatic signalling system failed through human error at a railway control office:
“It was the control centre, through its operators, that made the decision to resume traffic, under circumstances that, from our point of view, are inexplicable,” he said. “Clearly, it was a wrong decision.”4
This classic Mercury retrograde event generates a quite shocking horoscope, with a few stand out patterns listed below:
1. Scorpio rising closely conjunct Mercury, square to Mars-Jupiter in Leo – exactly square to their midpoint in the 21st degree of Leo. The Sabian symbol for which, “Intoxicated chickens dizzily flap their wings trying to fly” – suggesting a sense of confusion or lack of direction – related to human/computer error.
Sabotage has also been speculated upon, just several weeks before the Spanish elections. Mercury in Scorpio square Mars-Jupiter in Leo indicates intense communication clashes or power struggles, where sharp words or hidden motives create subterfuge, leading to sabotage.
Mars is the exoteric/esoteric ruler of the Scorpio ascendant, and Mercury is the hierarchical ruler. (Scorpio and Mercury rule over Humanity as a whole.)
Event horoscope.
2. Sun in Scorpio opposite Earth in Taurus – T-square Pluto in Aquarius, co-ruler of Scorpio. Pluto the Destroyer, ruthless Scorpio, one of four zodiac signs of death.
3. Moon in Gemini – exact conjunction to Uranus in the 5th degree: Sabian symbol – “A radical magazine displays a sensational front page.” Uranus the disruptor, related also to technology – and Gemini – AI, internet, media.
The symbolism of this “trAIn in SpAIn” disaster reflects current global concerns over AI – described as a “runaway train”. It also recalls the poem by the famous occultist William Yeats:
“The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world”. (The Second Coming – 1919.)
“One society descends into incoherent chaos, another set of morals reflective of a more violent, heartless epoch will arise”.
The first Sabian, “Intoxicated chickens dizzily flap their wings” has a connection to, “the falcon cannot hear the falconer” – creatures with wings that can and cannot fly! The falcon (train driver) cannot here the falconer (control office operator).
There were many heart-breaking losses in the crash, including Cambridge scientist Martha Shabazi, who was travelling to a conference to receive an award for scientific excellence in developmental biology.
Yet, fate spared one man who survived two Spanish train crashes in one year:
“One surviving passenger [Lucas Merayo] had also been aboard during the Adamuz disaster [exactly on the Capricorn new moon] that killed 46 people nine months earlier, having come out physically uninjured both times.” (It would be interesting to see the “luck factor” in his horoscope!)

Global Train Crash Imminent
Hence, this train crash is another warning for the planet of runaway technology, impending internet/financial crashes. And perpetual war, reflected by many countries warning people (Halloween eve) to stock up on food and water from 7 to 90 days.
Constant fear-mongering and public gaslighting maintain global tension, where threats of war and imminent doom are often not true or followed through upon. (Why Are Countries Preparing For Emergency And Issuing Stockpile Warning?) Yet, after the US midterm elections, the finale of the Iran conflict is touted to be on the horizon – a reckless and foolhardy plan no doubt:
“The Pentagon is reportedly preparing FORTRESS, a “doomsday plan” to keep major U.S. military bases operating independently for at least 90 days during a major global war, even if power grids, supply chains, and other infrastructure are disrupted”.
Even before the US midterm elections, US gov was chanting the “bomb Iran” mantra again – with a proposed nuclear strike on Iran’s Mount Pickaxe – speculated to be their nuclear facility.
It also occurs just after the Israeli elections, where Netanyahu lost his majority – yet still stays in power, entering a murky period of creating another coalition. (TEN US Jets SURGE to Israel, INSANE Iran War Plan Unfolds. Alexander Mercouris.)
Lear Jet Crash: Palm Beach, Florida
From train crash to plane crash, this tragedy occurred just 9 miles from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago and 4 miles from an airport from which Trump had departed more than an hour before.
It occurred around Halloween and on the eve of the US mid-term elections, which resulted in a huge loss for the Republicans.
It was a controversial event with several anomalies, with some claiming that it was a stunt, a missile, “no wreckage”, audio of pilots released immediately, against FAA rules etc.
The internet and YouTube are rife with theories, though it is not the aim of this article to prove one way or another – but to simply examine the astrology of the time of impact. Another horoscope was generated for the time the jet left Austin some hours earlier, but the impact chart is the most telling.
Overall, evidence suggests that nine people were aboard and all perished and that the plane started breaking up before it hit the ground, leaving wreckage several miles away.
Learjet Crash Event Horoscope.
Whatever happened, the event chart for the time the plane hit the ground has a similar Mercury retrograde signature as the Spanish train crash – Mercury retrograde:
1. Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, dominates the midheaven, closely square to Mars in Leo. Mercury is also sesqui-quadrate to retrograde Neptune, god of the waters. The main cause of the plane crash was the result of flying through a thunder storm (Jupiter) with icing and precipitation (Neptune).
2. Aquarius rising – this sign rules aviation, as does its ruler Uranus – planet of technology and science. Multimillionaire technology executive – Adam Robinson, wife, two tots and nanny were all killed.
Robinson was noted for building independent companies without venture capital.
“His company, Retention, creates software that de-anonymizes internet traffic, essentially the type of software that secretly figures out who you actually are, spies on you, and feeds you relevant ads or perhaps things far more heinous.”
Uranus in Gemini is closely trine to Scorpio ruler, Pluto. Pluto is conjunct the ascendant, opposite the moon in Leo, T-square to the Sun in Scorpio – in the 9th house of foreign travel. (Plane was headed toward the Bahamas.) Mercury is also in the 9th house.
3. Sun in Scorpio – exact quincunx to retrograde Saturn in Aries. Both signs are ruled by Mars, prominent in the aforementioned square to Mercury. Fire (Aries) clashes with water (Scorpio). This aspect may reflect what was going on between the pilot and co-pilot aged 55 and 20 respectively:
“Tension Between Action and Reflection: The impulsive nature of Aries may clash with Scorpio’s need for deep analysis before taking action.
Push-Pull Dynamics: One partner may want to charge ahead, while the other prefers to explore underlying issues before proceeding.
Balancing Independence and Responsibility: Individuals may struggle to assert their independence while also managing shared responsibilities.”5
4. Mercury in Scorpio square Jupiter in Leo. This aspect, along with the Moon in Leo square the Sun in Scorpio, might have led to over-confidence in negotiating a tricky storm (Jupiter). This aspect is related to Sun in Aries quincunx Saturn in Leo.
As in the Spanish train crash metaphor, this Learjet tragedy has obvious symbolism – occurring near the home of the US president Donald Trump – “crashing out” of power?
And the runaway AI theme, as major tech companies like Google and Meta are undergoing huge losses, due to over-reach and greed. (Although Robinson appears to have held contrary views to that trend.)
“Pride [Mars-Moon in Leo] goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit goes before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18.) Getting overly confident or arrogant brings downfall, which might describe Trump’s loss. As well as the over-confidence of AI tech billionaires, some of whom are currently in financial turmoil.

More on this election outcome in the Sagittarius newsletter. Suffice to say, once understanding the illusion of the redundant two-party system – the “uniparty” maintains power – with policies that have been in place for decades and both sides of congress corporately compromised.

Robert Borel: Death the Great Adventure
This was the title of Robert’s 1981 compilation on the theme of death, scattered throughout the Alice Bailey – or “blue books”. And on Saturday Oct. 24, our dear brother set out on his next great adventure, passing over at a hospice in California.
Robert was one of the original contributors to setting up the University of the Seven Rays (with the late Michael D. Robbins) – and has been a regular presenter at USR’s conferences ever since.
Robert passed just under 24 hours before the exact full moon time of Scorpio-Taurus. Pluto in Aquarius was T-square to Sun-Venus in Scorpio – opposite Earth in Taurus. (His personal horoscope was also involved but is not explored at this juncture.)6
Scorpio is one of the four signs of death, specifically related to release and relinquishment on all levels – “dying daily” – as Scorpio St. Paul once quipped. Scorpio ruler Pluto, is one of the “lords of death” – with the more well-known Saturn, the Lord of Time – who informs us when our time is up!
Because Robert disincarnated in Scorpio, he will reincarnate with the Sun in that sign, according to the principles of Esoteric Astrology:
“The particular month in which a soul comes into incarnation is indicated to that soul by the month in which it passed out of incarnation in a previous life cycle.
If it, for instance, died in the month governed by the sign Leo, it will return into incarnation in the same sign, picking up the thread of experience where it left it, and starting with the same type of energy and the peculiar equipment with which it passed away from earth life, plus the gain of thought and conscious onlooking.
The quality of the energy and the nature of the forces to be manipulated during life are indicated to the soul in this way.”7
Robert’s soul pre-determined that he would pass in Scorpio, the sign of discipleship and the intense trials and tests that lead to initiation.
We wish Robert a fond farewell as he begins his lighted journey and will no doubt have found a rousing welcome from his co-workers upon the inner planes.
