“Vladimir Putin will face “very severe consequences” if he does not agree a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine at his summit with Donald Trump in Alaska, the US president said on Wednesday. [Aug.13.]”1
Hmmm, a wise way to pave a pathway to peace at the Alaska Summit? More rumpish Trump rhetoric to satisfy some – or does he really mean it? One never knows with the shifting game of a Gemini trickster, something shared in common with Putin’s Gemini moon.
The meeting has been obviously planned for a long time, with a few coincidences in recent weeks: Tulsi Gabbard declassifying Russia Gate evidence, while Trump has ordered the National Guard into Washington, on the pretext of clearing up crime – or is he expecting some kind of blowback after the Alaska Summit?
This somewhat historic meeting will take place in Alaska, the US state which borders far eastern Russia. Alaska used to belong to Russia – who sold it to the USA in 1867 for US$7.2 million! Alaska is not far from the Kamchatka Peninsula where a recent earthquake occurred, generating a tsunami and setting off volcanic eruptions.
Metaphorically, will the seismic event for the meeting of two world leaders degenerate into a fiery eruption, making waves around the world – or will something less dramatic and more tangible emerge?
“The meeting between Trump and Putin is planned as one-on-one, and a “listening exercise” for Trump during which he could “suss out” the Russian point of view. “The lack of advisers in the room has raised a key question: will any agreements made in a private setting, even if interpreters or other notetakers are present, lead to lasting outcomes?”2
This ”lasting outcome” is a cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, for which the world waits with worrying anticipation. Security is sure to be tight and submarines from both nations will no doubt be standing by in the Bering Strait. The summit has been stated to be at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, spread over 13,000 square acres in Anchorage.
The Summit is on August 14 (the meeting was bought forward from August 15), with discussions possibly continuing into the following day. The time was announced for 11.30 am, giving a most appropriate rising sign for Libra the Peacemaker. (See chart below.) In Esoteric Astrology, the soul purpose of any event or human birthchart is the rising sign – determined by the time of birth.
Mars – the god of war, is also in Libra – conjunct the ascendant from the 12th house of “hidden enemies” – people who undermine without direct confrontation, highlighting the importance of being aware of manipulation. As stated regularly in the author’s missives, Mars in Libra is prominent in the charts of Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama.
Mars in Libra speaks to the “inner disarmament” that must take place to effect outer peace – the balancing of the pairs of opposites in the emotional body – which Mars co-rules, individually and collectively. Which applies to both sides of the equation, but primarily – as global analysts concur, the withdrawal of USA’s constant antagonisms toward Russia, the projection of its will-to-dominate, amplified by its current president.
Peace in Ukraine?
The Russia-Ukraine conflict has been a Western-waged war – against Russia by the USA and European NATO, using Ukraine as their proxy – for some decades now. Reflect upon the tragedy of Ukraine – used and abused by the West, resulting in an estimated 1.8 million deaths.
In the distorted astral mirror, these figures are reversed in mainstream media propaganda. Yet, retired US Colonel Douglas MacGregor states that the collapse of Ukrainian forces has reached this catastrophic figure. The tragedy continues unabated as Ukraine is now recruiting men over 60 and 14-year old boys, to send to the “meat grinder” of the front lines.
Reflect on this horror for a moment: In 3 years, the slaughter has exceeded the 9-year Vietnam conflict where total deaths for both sides was 1.35 million. (Russia: 125,000 deaths, about 400,000 wounded.)
Foreign Ministers
Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, has the Sun in Aries with its ruler Mars in Libra (close to the event chart Mars) – and is internationally recognised as a wise and restrained negotiator – worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize, more than most.
Although it is supposed to be a one-on-one between Trump and Putin, Lavrov’s attendance at the Summit would have a very beneficial impact. There will be in fact a large entourage of “some of the most powerful figures in the Kremlin’s inner circle – seasoned political operators, financial strategists and diplomatic enforcers who have shaped Russia’s foreign and economic policy for more than two decades.”
However, Lavrov’s US counterpart – Marco Rubio, might be a fly in the ointment – with his religiously fanatical Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius – opposing Putin’s moon in Gemini, probably causing extreme irritation for the Russian president. Rubio (and Trump) has publicly criticized Russia’s actions in Ukraine, reflecting a tough stance against Putin’s policies, conveying frustration over the Kremlin’s lack of cooperation in peace efforts.
Positive Influences
A factor that augurs well for the Alaska Summit is the August 9, Leo-Aquarius full moon horoscope, analysed in this recent newsletter: Leo and Liberty: Sirius and the USA.3
There it was stated that the Jupiter-Venus conjunction (the two “benefics”), were conjunct USA’s Sun in Cancer and Sirius – the star of freedom, opening up the possibility for the nation to move more deeply into its 2nd ray Love-Wisdom/Aquarian soul purpose.

The Jupiter-Venus conjunction is still in orb at the August 14 Summit – astonishingly, straddling the midheaven! And Jupiter is precisely conjunct Sirius within 10′ arc. There cannot be a much better horoscope which fosters listening, fairness and goodwill – aligned to the greater Law of Karma on Sirius. (They might have had astrological advice!)

Another supporting factor in the Summit horosope, is a grand trine between Mars in Libra, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Uranus-ruled Aquarius. The three air signs of right relationships – that connects to most of the main participants’ horoscopes.
Uranus is the soul ruler of the Libra rising soul purpose, ruling also Russia’s 7th ray soul and the exoteric ruler of these nations’ shared Aquarius soul. Hence, Uranus offers innovative communication and lively ideas (Gemini).
Similarly, Putin’s Sun, Saturn, Neptune and Mercury in Libra – are trine to Trump’s Gemini Sun-Uranus, allowing for an harmonious exchange of ideas. Trump’s Chiron and Jupiter in Libra – fall on Putin’s Sun and Saturn in Libra. There is much synastry and potential peace-making between the two leaders.
Challenging Tensions
Trump’s somewhat unruly Mars in Leo is near to the Summit Leo sun. Leo is the proud personality expression of Russia and Trump is Leo rising. Both nations have Aquarius as their soul purpose – there is plenty of common ground between the two leaders and Aquarius-soul nations.
Mercury in Leo opposite Pluto, sets the stage for some tough negotiations and straight talking. Mercury-Pluto also make a tight T-square to Moon in Taurus, emphasising the theme of territory. Trump has said that he and Putin will discuss “land swapping”.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would not cede Russia territory that it could use to launch a new offensive. What does Russia want to cede to Ukraine and vice-versa? Russia, probably nothing. And what territorial or business interests does the US have in Ukraine, eventually to be rebuilt by companies like Blackrock?
However, alleviating this Taurus T-square, Mercury in Leo is in sextile to Mars in Libra (in a “kite” formation to the grand trine), tapping into the force of reconciliation – of finding Libra’s middle ground. Also, Saturn and Neptune in Aries opposite, offer some restraining influence in finding a pathway to peace.
Also of strong interest (perhaps by Russian astrologers’ design!), is that the point of the T-square apex – the Moon in Taurus, is almost exactly opposite Putin’s Scorpio ascendant! It is said in astrology that this position is the “resolution” of the T-square.
The meeting begins with Libra rising at 11.30 am. Around 14.00, transiting ascendant will move across Putin’s Scorpio ascendant, then his Venus in Scorpio around 15.00. This is where things might get a bit funky between Trump and Putin – as Putin’s Venus in Scorpio squares Trump’s Pluto – and his ambitious progressed midheaven in Leo.
Although not present at the meeting, Rubio’s Venus-Mercury in Taurus opposes Putin’s Venus in Scorpio – and his Mars in Aquarius creates a fixed grand cross between all the aforesaid planets. “Log-jam” or “loggerheads” might be an appropriate description. Fury might be another, if one party or another tries to barge through! Trump has stated,
“Russia has occupied a big portion of Ukraine. They’ve occupied some very prime territory. We’re going to try and get some of that territory back for Ukraine,” Trump said on Monday.”4
Given Rubio’s attitude toward Putin, and Trump’s stated goal, the talks might arrive at a stalemate. European leaders – and others in the US, are afraid that Trump will again be charmed by Libran Putin to make concessions that compromise Ukraine’s future sovereignty.
Trump suggested he would push for a second, almost immediate summit if his meeting with Putin goes well – this time, including President Zelenskyy.
Should the world hold its breath? We will know by the end of Thursday or Friday!
Alternative Location Symbolism
There is some interesting symbolism between the two islands of Diomede – which sit four kilometres apart in the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia. The larger Diomede belongs to Russia and the smaller Diomede to the USA.
The international timeline runs between the two islands, thereby separating them by 21 hours! Diomedes – or Diomede, was a hero in Greek mythology, known for his participation in the Trojan War – an epic story upon which many stories have been based.

As you say, the Jupiter-Venus conjunction is very benign! We’ll see if it can be fully expressed.
To this end, the esoteric meaning of Libra, (“I choose the way that leads between the two great lines of force”), should prevail in the meeting environment through Uranus, over the excess of Leo’s ego and exalted Taurus energies.
Uranus, the revealer, is in Gemini, and Gemini, through the 2nd Ray of Love and Wisdom, is closely linked to temperance and understanding of what must grow for the good of the whole. Uranus is the revealer, and it’s also in the 9th house, in many ways the most spiritual house of all …
On the other hand, (and as I see it), the dangers lie in the excessive (exaltation) and dark (8th house) power of the Moon; and also, in the passionate power capable of obtaining false or egocentric social recognition from its protagonists and respective countries (Sun in Leo in the 11th house).
If these dangers are not integrated through the esoteric meanings of Libra, they will surely express themselves horizontally and aggressively through Mars in the 1st house and Saturn in fall in the 7th house, thus destroying the success of the encounter.

You might be referring to a proposed chart I mentioned a few days ago on Facebook for Aug 15 with Mars rising. If you read this newsletter you would have seen that the date and time has changed till today, giving Mars in the 12th ouse but still Libra rising. You might want to adjust all the other house positions thn.
Hello Phillip, no, I work with a broad orbs, especially if they’re cardinal houses, as is the case here. For me, both Saturn and Mars are in the 1st and 7th houses. They’re planets that are “looking” at these houses, heading toward them. That’s how I interpret it 🙂

One of the paradoxes of occultism is that without understanding, there is no identification with Divinity, and therefore, it is impossible to apply the Occult Law. And correct understanding is only possible with Love.

the esoteric phrase for Libra “I choose the way that leads between the two great lines of force” doesn’t refer to flags, ideological positions, or more or less legitimate governments… the meaning of the phrase is more inclusive.
We know that many Ukrainians are pro-European, especially in the western part, and also that many are pro-Russian, especially in the eastern part, but both are suffering, right?
Finding a middle ground between these two great lines of force isn’t easy, but not impossible. As powerful entities, it’s Russia and the US’s obligation to know how to find it. As Phillip says in one of his answers, “Peace is the result of right human relations”, hence the importance of the summit.
Phillip. You’ve said many times that it could go either way with Trump, but, regardless of what the MSM says it’s been very apparent for quite some time that DJT is an absolute maniac. The fact that you can’t, or won’t, see that and call it for what it is, may have something to do with why you have alienated yourself from a lot of your subscribers.
I am not bothered about losing subscribers – as I said in another response here, its the inability of people to inform themselves from alternative media and even from esoteric writings. I personally prefer the equal house system as it brings a clarity to the situation. The sun moves into the 11th house with its Aquarius energy. Friendship. Mars in the 12th is weakened by Neptune. The blessings come from Jupiter, the higherself. As the morning goes the sun will have a Capricorn favouring as it moves into the 10th house.
