Sagittarius Special Report: Bondi Beach Shooting

Back in 1983, part of my university of life “curriculum” was for several years as a taxi driver based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs - Bondi Junction to be exact. Now there are some memories from around my first Saturn return! A large community of Jewish emigres grew in this area, moving from Europe after WWII. In my role as Mercury the transporter, I had regular passengers - mainly aged widows in their 80’s who needed a short taxi ride to the (Jewish) Hakoah Club at Bondi Beach.

William Blake (1757-1827) had the Sun in Sagittarius and was one of the greatest visionary artists and romantic poets that ever emerged from England, spanning the 18th and 19th centuries. In the ninth Sagittarian labour, Hercules clears the marshes of the dreaded Stymphalian birds by resorting to the use of clashing cymbals, creating such an unbearable din that they depart. Sagittarius rules all that is associated with higher thought and education, esoteric studies and the expansion of the mind by traveling through foreign cultures. It is a sign that is related to sound in several ways: The silence demanded of the aspirant to the mysteries, such as the metaphysical school of Pythogoras in ancient times.

A note here for some new students about any sign that we consider. You do not have to be 'a Sagittarius' Sun sign to respond to these forces. Many of you will have important planets in Sagittarius, such as the Moon or Jupiter, or may even have it as your rising sign. Some may have been born in Libra or Scorpio but will find that the progressed Sun occupies Sagittarius for thirty years, creating a powerful 'subtone' note trhoughout the life.
