As a sign that is connected with almost every initiation, Capricorn represents the summit of human achievement, the realisation of ambition, both spiritual and material. Yet, before the Path of Initiation can be trod, other steps which can span many lifetimes, must be taken.
On New Year's Day coinciding with the new moon in Capricorn, the grand cross between Pluto-Uranus, Mars-Jupiter, heralded how 2014 will shape up. Again, in the full moon chart for Capricorn (January 16), the grand cross is still activated, but evolves to an exact focus, April 22-24, 2014.
The unicorn has always been a symbol of spiritual purity and grace; in ancient myths it could only be captured by a virgin, alluding to the relationship of Capricorn to another earth sign, Virgo. The single horn was believed to transform poisoned water and to heal.

Pluto’s entry into Capricorn and the profound changes accompanying it, continue to deepenand take effect. In a recent essay it was stated that Capricornian entities would be feeling the brunt of Pluto’s force as it made its way through the sign of the Goat.
The planet of power entering the sign of power and initiation for the next 17 years (until 2023-4), will see Humanity go through a major planetary crisis. The Capricorn solstice period was December 21, 2004, followed by the full moon on December 27, hence Christmas sat between these two important festivals. As mentioned in other newsletters, solstice means sun stands still because the Sun appears to rise in the same place for three days having reached its maximum declination between the equator and the ecliptic.
