Putin-Trump Summit in Alaska (August 14-15, 2025)
This somewhat historic meeting will take place in Alaska, the US state which borders far eastern Russia. Alaska used to belong to Russia - who sold it to the USA in 1867 for US$7.2 million! Alaska is not far from the Kamchatka Peninsula where a recent earthquake occurred, generating a tsunami and setting off volcanic eruptions. Metaphorically, will the seismic event for the meeting of two world leaders degenerate into a fiery eruption, making waves around the world - or will something less dramatic and more tangible emerge?
