Virgo-Pisces: Full Moon Lunar Eclipse
Complementary to the Moon in Pisces the Fishes, this moon is called a Sturgeon Moon in North America, due to the large number of sturgeon fish found in the Great Lakes around Aug.-Sept. Males have a life span of 55 years, while females can live up to 150 years.

For skywatchers in the US and Canada, it will be a Thursday evening “Blood” Moon. For Europe, the middle of the night from 2 am to 5 am. During a total lunar eclipse, the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon and cuts off the Moon’s light supply.

When this happens, the surface of the Moon takes on a reddish glow instead of going completely dark. The red color of a totally eclipsed Moon has prompted many people to refer to total lunar eclipses as Blood Moons.

A lunar eclipse in Virgo emphasises the themes of purification, self-improvement, organization and health, while the Pisces polarity focuses on introspection, intuition and releasing outworn emotional patterns.

Virgo’s sense of order and control can be at odds with Piscean boundlessness. Pisces encourages letting go of Virgoan perfectionism and over-analysis – to align with deeper truth and practical wisdom.

Esoterically,

“In [earthy] Virgo … the nurturing of the life of that second ray phenomenon – a Christ, the consummation of the task of matter and its elevation into heaven … [In] Pisces … the work is consummated and the will of the Father works out through the second ray will as the will-to-save.

In Pisces, you have the consummation of the work of that which the matter aspect has made possible, and the Christ emerges as the world saviour. All this has taken place through the will aspect of the second ray, focussed in Shamballa, expressing itself through humanity and consummated in the Hierarchy.”2

Virgo-Pisces and Sirius
The Sun has just passed through the sign of Leo, one half of the sphinx – and month of the dog-star, Sirius. Virgo is Isis – synonymous with Sirius (the “Nile star”). Part of the Leo-Virgo riddle of the sphinx – with the body of a lion and head of the virgin, is connected to Sirius. (See, The Sphinx is an Astrological Sign: Leo-Virgo.)

On this full moon, with the Sun in Virgo opposite the Moon in Pisces, there is a line of energy upon the 2^nd ray of Love-Wisdom, that passes from Sirius to Pisces, to Uranus and then passes to the heart centre of a disciple.3

This is an unusual association with Uranus, which is usually connected by rulership to Aquarius, the adjacent sign to Pisces. Another close sphinx connection is that Uranus is the hierarchical ruler of Leo.

The Old Commentary contains an evocative description:

“The central light of Sirius shone through the eye of the Son [Horus]; the vision came. The light of wisdom penetrated into the waters and cast the radiance of the Heavens into the depths.

At this attractive call, the goddess rose unto the surface (the fish-goddess, the symbol of Pisces) and welcomed the light within the depths and grasped it as her own …

And then the heavens within the ring-pass-not responded to the light from Sirius which, passing through the sea of Pisces, lifted the fishes into the heavenly sphere (Uranus) and thus a lesser triple light appeared, the radiant sun of suns, the watery light of Pisces, the heavenly light of Uranus …”4

Here is described a synthesis of heart (Pisces) and mind (Uranus). Cosmic mind transmitted from Sirius becomes Love-Wisdom on Earth.

This Virgo-Pisces full moon holds an unique T-square to Uranus in Gemini, another of the seven signs associated with Sirius: “Gemini forms a point of entrance for cosmic energy from Sirius”5, complemented by the fact that the only ray to pass through this sign is the 2^nd ray of Love-Wisdom.

Both Virgo-Pisces are conduits for this 2^nd ray and also the 6^th ray of Devotion or Idealism. At this full moon, Sixth ray ruler Mars, is also in Cancer – only a few degrees from Sirius, while the Moon in Pisces is make an applying trine to Mars.

Hence, this full moon configuration allows for a greater anchoring of Love-Wisdom on Earth; for Humanity to take another step forward in its aeons-long engagement and gradual alignment with the greater Law on Sirius. (More on this horoscope in other articles below.)

Virgo: Leave Mother Earth to the Weather!
Virgo is a sign well known for its themes of right nutrition that brings about good health. “Lift your eyes to the skies” mantra meets with resistance and accusations of “conspiracy theory”, yet Geoengineering is real and having devastating effect upon the planet. Each year, the urgency of this problem increases. Hence, we not only have a spiritual duty to inform ourselves, but to raise awareness as broadly as possible.

There are three zodiac signs connected directly to climate and the environment: Taurus, Cancer and Virgo. They all have one thing in common – the Moon: Exalted in Taurus, exoteric ruler of Cancer and esoteric ruler of Virgo.

All three signs carry the common theme of the Earth Mother, food, birth, nurturement and caring. The Moon is the builder of the form nature – in the vegetable, animal and human kingdoms. The moon regulates the rhythm of the tides, weather, biological and reproductive cycles, instinctual behaviour, survival and fear.

“Mother nature knows best” and, working with the solar cycles – always regenerates itself through periods of destruction, drought, flood and fire, cycles of El Niño/La Niña – through to the long ice ages of history. But now, each year there is unprecedented fire, flood and freeze all around the planet. It is now being proposed by many that it is not so much “climate change”, but man’s interference with the weather.

There exists an “unconscious interference” – where unchecked pollution degrades the environment. And then there is “conscious interference” – deliberate manipulation via various technologies – openly or secretly.

All of the delicate balances and counter-balances in nature’s intricate apparatus have been thrown out of kilter. (Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of Balance.) Hence, a return to this theme of highly propagandised “climate change” – versus weather manipulation or geo-engineering – bombarding humanity to an hitherto unseen degree in many countries.

There has been non-stop aerial spraying of the majority of the planet – in mostly clandestine programs for which the public has never been consulted. The results of these programs conducted for decades, has now come to a point of critical accumulation:

“Chem trails contain: Barium, aluminium, radioactive thorium and caesium, copper, titanium, silicon, lithium, cobalt, lead, ethylene dibromide and several pathogenic agents. Chemical trails can cause a condition called Morgellons syndrome.

It is a disease which causes serious deterioration in the body. As well as this disease, chemtrails are associated with other illnesses such as tumours, Parkinson’s disease and cardiac dysfunction.”6

The spraying of these chemicals and metals has contaminated the soil and dried out vegetation so much, that it is unusually flammable. Firefighters all over the world have noted that the fires are burning far hotter and intensely than they have ever witnessed in their lives.

In 1966, President LBJ stated in a public speech, “Control the weather and you control the world.” Patents for weather modification go back to 1880! So there is no conspiracy theory, yet established and biased media institutions such as Wikipedia, continue to insist, Conspiracy theory about contrails.

Every summer, alarming news headlines alert us to the fact that temperatures are at consistently high levels of 42°C – never recorded before. Geoengineering activists argue that these are often deliberately curated “heat dome”events. Geoengineering is defined as, “deliberate large-scale interventions in the Earth’s climate system intended to counteract human-caused climate change”.7

But activists might re-word that statement to read, “deliberate large-scale interventions intended to cause havoc and blame it on human-caused climate change”. Motive? To usher in certain agendas that bring about greater control – or even decimation and weakening of populations.

Like Wikipedia, the global consensus media is invested in wringing the last drop out of the contrails myth – in order to extend the cover-up for as long as possible. That media is owned and controlled by the same forces that are carrying out geo-engineering, for any number of reasons – political, military, “scientific” or financial.

As an aside, like the Covid-19 scam of 2020-2023, many do not realise that there are small but incredibly powerful groups who have the intention of cutting Earth’s population from 8 billion to about 2 billion or less. People like Bill Gates have publicly stated such.

If that plan was succcessful, then the remaining population would be servile to the Epstein or billionaire class. Yet like the Covid era, many people – in their innocence or naivety, cannot conceive of such evil motives.

These intentions have been exposed increasingly in recent years, though it will be missed if CNN and Fox is the only news source. (See phillips-alt-media on Telegram.)

This is an undeclared world war, no question about that – most of humanity only recognise declared wars. The attacks have come on many fronts, in a bid to control and exploit:  Financially, agriculturally, environmentally. In the areas of education, sexuality, religion, big tech and politics.

Geo-engineering may mitigate or offset some aspects of the weather but its well-documented, deleterious effects are increasingly and scientifically recognised.

“The so-called ‘heat dome’ problem that is affecting most of the United States right now. Wigington says, “In Montana, record highs, and a week later, three feet of snow.  A week after that, a record obliterating high of 115 degrees.

The train is totally off the rails, and the vast majority has no idea how grave our situation is. They are caught up in politics and sports games [bread and circuses], and we are about to hit the wall. People need to wake the hell up.”8

Indeed, a very serious situation, but aside from the fact that these situations may have been articificially created, the past 70 years has seen many extreme natural events occur.

For instance, when the author was 9 or 10 years old (1962-ish), it snowed down to sea level on Christmas Day in Hobart, Tasmania. (An island under Australia’s southern tip for some of you!) December is summer in the southern hemisphere, but proximity to the Antarctic can make for unusual weather.

In 1977, as a cabbie in Perth, Australia – the author worked a night shift from a 42°C day (108° F) – that barely cooled down past 36°C – and the taxi had no air-con! Later in Britain, about the time the Braveheart movie was being made in 1994, it was 34°C – one local quipped, “a bit bloody warm”!

In 2013, when living in Mesa, AZ -it was 117° F (47°C) – the author was riding a bicycle but packed it in when it looked like the tyres were going to burst! Reno, Nevada is currently undergoing a massive fire.

The point is, even if it is getting warmer solely through natural cycles, then it is part of an historical natural rhythm. Ice core samples indicate much hotter temperatures, up to 800,000 years ago.

And here is another problem, because mainstream history only allows a paltry 10,000 years for human civilisation, it cannot conceive of the much longer cycles of Rootraces that have been around for literally millions of years. (See The Hidden History of Humanity Documentary and book.)

Due to human meddling and manipulation today, current natural weather anomalies are amplified by constant high altitude spraying: For many reasons, requiring different cocktails of chemicals – ranging from,

[2] Deliberate weather attacks on other nations or their own – via flood, fire or freeze – hurricanes etc. [3] Mrna vaccines or other nefarious behaviour-modification drugs sprayed upon populations. [4] Bill Gates’ advocacy for blocking the life-giving prana of the Sun – and other fear-mongering ideas like water shortage.

[5] Seismic activations targeting some countries via hitherto secret technologies – tectonic weapons, HAARP, DEW, laser-guided lightning weapons (Laser-Induced Plasma Channel – LIPC), can direct lightning bolts to targets.

Nan, in northern Thailand is currently experiencing a severe flood disaster, as are the southern provinces. It is the monsoon season, but one wonders if weather manipulation is exaggerating the normal cycle.

There were devastating floods in the south of Thailand early in 2026 – outside of the monsoon season. Thailand does have a cloud seeding program that boasts, “…ranked first in the world for weather modification, continues to expand its royal rainmaking program to combat drought and support agriculture nationwide.”

There are currently many floods around the world – in Italy, Poland, India, China, Japan, Afghanistan, Gary – Indiana, New York City, Phillipines, Hawaii, Nepal etc. And at the same time parts of Europe have major rivers drying up from drought, extremely high temperatures and fires, same in USA and Canada.

“Weather modification is a worldwide industry with airplane and ground-based cloud-seeding generators burning chemicals to add more seeds to clouds with the hope that these aerosols will create rain, snow, or even make hail smaller. Most of these geo-engineering practices are based upon financial, political or military motives, creating complex problems of pollution and imbalances in nature’s biological rhythms.

When one considers that almost every country on the planet has non-stop spraying programs, is it any wonder that there is a so-called “climate change”? Not a natural “climate change” – but a man-made climate crisis.

“Tennessee is the only U.S. state that has officially banned geoengineering. Additionally, states like Florida, Montana, Arizona and New Jersey have proposed legislation to ban various geoengineering practices, with Florida and Arizona having passed bills in their respective legislatures.”9

There is much promise in many initiatives now being taken in the USA (The War Against Geoengineering), backed by US Secretary of Health, Robert F. Kennedy: “24 states are mobilizing to ban the geoengineering of our climate by exposing our citizens, our rivers and our landscapes to toxins.”

Once a majority of states bring about these proposed bans, it may catch on in the rest of the world. To date, Europe appears to be oblivious to the problem of daily, heavy concentrations of poisons being dumped into the atmosphere.

All anyone has to do is look up at the sky everyday to see the unnatural cloud patterns and remnants of decaying chem trails. Britain has an acute spraying crisis and there is an increasing public outcry questioning why.

Earthquakes in Spain (621 in six days!)
Because of new manipulative technologies, it may becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between a “natural” earthquake or one created deliberately! (HAARP tech used in Türkiye’s Feb. 6, 2025 earthquake, suggest US scientists in open letter.)

Take for instance, the recent strong tremor-swarm in Spain, a country that conspicuously fell out of favour with Israel in the past few months.

With some deft social engineering in Morocco, 50,000 + young men were sent to the Spanish province in Ceuta, northern Morocco. (Spanish commentators accuse Israel and US of involvement in Ceuta crisis.)

Israel constantly boasts its superiority in high tech, whether it possesses Tectonic Weapons that can trigger earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or other seismic events – is unknown.

But given this nation’s ruthlessness, its enmity with Turkiye and recent statements by Naphtali Bennet, “After Iran its Turkiye” – it is highly likely that it might use such methods.

Israel itself has a major earthquake watch, given its vulnerability to severe seismic shocks – over Richter 7 would be devastating to much of the country. Currently, the tension between Israel and Turkey has reached a state of almost outright war.

Anyway, back to Spain’s several tremors, natural or articifical – there are some fascinating facts to consider: Mainly that it occurred on Aug. 14, two days after the Aug.12 total solar eclipse which saw its path terminate just off the coast of Spain.

1. The Solar Eclipse Chart on Spain
Geodetic lines are used in Astro-Cartography to analyse world events by showing how planetary energies align with specific geographic zones.

In the map here, the Neptune MC line crossed the termination of the Aug.12 solar eclipse line near the island of Mallorca, Spain.

Consulting the Google Earth map below, it can be seen that this crossover point is right on the oceanic trench called the Alboran Ridge, that runs from Mallorca and finds its reflex point in Granada.

Neptune is the god of the waters and that which is below, hence its position crossing the eclipse line is most significant, in terms of “setting up” the quake two days later.

The actual criss-cross point of the eclipse and Neptune lines, is at the beginning of the Alboran Ridge which runs south west down the coast of Spain.

2. The Granada Earthquake Chart

Two days after the Aug.12 eclipse – on Aug.14, the epicentre of the quake was in Otura, very close to Granada. Several points to make:

1. Pluto the Destroyer is angular, dominating the chart from the midheaven – in a grand trine with Uranus and Venus – the latter two planets are often significators in seismic activity. Furthermore, in the astro-cartographic map, the Pluto-MC line runs very close to Granada. (See map below.)

2. Uranus rising in Gemini. Uranus is often present in earthquake horoscopes – and astrocartography lines. In this example, the Uranus line passes across north east Spain and close to the islands around Mallorca. (See map below.)

This Uranus-Asc line also intersects the Mercury-Jupiter/IC lines in Leo – just north of Mallorca, while the the Mercury-Jupiter/IC lines pass through Mallorca at the beginning of the Alboran Ridge!

Jupiter is known to be prominent in earthquakes, particularly if it is on one of the four angles of an event chart. Also because of its role as the largest planet in the solar system, it has significant etheric effects, as does Venus – sister planet or higher self to our Earth. (See Jupiter in relation to Portugal’s 1755 quake later.)

3. Exact square of the Sun in Leo to an earthy Taurus ascendant. (The bull is a very important part of Spanish culture.) In fact, the Sabian symbol for the Leo degree is, “A bareback rider in a circus thrills excited crowds.” Well, the crowds in Granada may not have been exactly thrilled, but certainly excited in a different way!

Virgo Soul Greece’s Imminent Upheaval
During the passage of the Sun through Virgo – and especially at the full moon of Virgo-Pisces, Virgo nations will be profoundly affected. Greece is a Virgo soul, so is Australia, Ireland, the Jewish People and Paris. (Also, hypothetically, Portugal.) New Zealand and Brazil have Virgo as their personality expression.

France is a Pisces soul, so this full moon will be particularly potent, especialy as the Sun-Moon opposition makes a tight T-square to Uranus in Gemini. Hence, the birth of the French Revolution which occurred near the discovery of Uranus in 1781, may be shaping up for another radical shift.

“France is currently experiencing a political crisis following the 2024 legislative elections, which resulted in a hung parliament with no clear majority among the three main political blocs: the left-wing New Popular Front, Macron’s centrist Ensemble, and Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally.

This situation has led to significant instability, including the resignation of the Attal government and ongoing challenges in forming a fully functioning government.”10

Back to Greece! Foundation of the Western system of (attempted) Democracy. Due to this Uranus T-square, it too may go through some upheavals – political and/or terrestrial!

Note that the horoscope set for Athens has Virgo rising, appropriate for this Virgo soul! Also, Virgo ruler Mercury and the Sun are in a tight cazimi conjunction – and rising near the ascendant, amplifying the power of Mercury the Messenger.

“Greece is one of Europe’s most earthquake-prone countries, with most earthquakes causing no casualties. The country experiences significant seismic activity due to its location at the boundary of the African and Eurasian tectonic plates.”11

The astrocartography map depicts the Uranus-MC line running straight through Greece – close to Athens, Argos and Corinth, while the Sun-Moon lines are running through the heel of Italy’s boot, within orb of influence. The Uranus line is also in orb of influence which extends to Italy in the west and Turkiye in the east, both regions having a long history of seismic activity.

But it may all come to pass with no earthquake, or the full moon pattern that is embedded in the etheric body of the planet, may be activated by some planetary transit at a future date.

Time will tell, but it is a particularly signficant Uranus-MC line which extends through all countries north and south of Greece, having a possible impact elsewhere. The nature of “upheaval” in Greece might be with old arch-enemy Turkiye:

“Greece and Turkey are currently experiencing heightened tensions due to ongoing disputes over maritime boundaries, migration issues and historical grievances. Recent diplomatic efforts have been made to address these long-standing conflicts, but the relationship remains complex and strained.“12

But another nation comes into the picture, no prizes for guessing – Israel! Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ close friendship with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is fuelling much anger in Greece, as well as extenisve colonisation of Greece by fleeing Israeli’s who are buying and renting a lot of real estate – on Cyprus, mainland Greece and its islands.

“Israel’s relationship with Greece is becoming increasingly complicated. Rising rents, which many Greeks blame on Israeli property purchases, anger over Israelis jeering at pro-Palestinian demonstrations … are all fuelling anger.

“It’s an asymmetrical relationship, where one side is powerful and the other powerless,” Konstantinos Isychos, a former deputy defence minister who is opposed to the alliance, told Middle East Eye.”13

So it appears that Greece is currently caught between the proverbial devil and the deep blue sea of the Aegean. Which devil is it – Turkiye or Israel?

Although Turkiye’s president Erdogan has made many disparaging and threatening remarks about Israel and Netanyahu in recent years, Turkiye continues to sell oil to Israel, not choosing to boycott – yet.

Turkiye is still recovering from economically devastating earthquakes in the past few years and needs the funds. But Greece is also extremely strapped for cash and corruption in business runs hopelessly deep:

“There’s never money available for better hospitals, firefighting aeroplanes, trains or pensions,” Iason Apostolopoulos, a pro-Palestine activist and rescuer of migrants in the Central Mediterranean for Italian association Mediterranea Saving Humans, told MEE.

“But there’s always funds for purchasing Predator [a surveillance programme] and arms packages from Israel that feed a military machine that daily produces occupation, death and apartheid. “[A] … growing backlash is now being felt by Israelis who once saw Greece as an attractive escape from a country they regard as increasingly expensive, violent and dysfunctional.”14

And then there is the issue of Iran, where Israel instigated the USA to attack, for which Turkiye took great exception – from the humanitarian and Muslim perspective.

“Israeli fighter jets began using Greek airspace for training, giving Israel an important opportunity to prepare for long-range operations. ‘The relationship with Israel puts Greece in a position to regulate situations in the Mediterranean and the Middle East’ – Alexandros Itimoudis, geopolitical analyst.

“The average Israeli doesn’t know that the ease with which their airforce flew to Tehran, including midair refuellings, was due to the training they had the opportunity to do over Greece,” Angelos Raphael, a translator and tour guide living in Israel, told MEE.

In 2015, Greece became only the second country after the US to sign a military cooperation agreement with Israel, allowing the two countries to host each other’s troops and materiel.”15

Greece is a Capricorn personality, the same as the Jewish people, hence a connection to Israel, but mainly in materialistic terms of money, business and property:

“Capricorn, for instance, seldom appears as a sign governing the egoic [soul] expression of any nation, but quite often as governing the personality manifestation, or the exoteric country.

Austria, Greece, India, Japan and Spain [and Australia] have Capricorn as their personality rulers, indicating age, crystallisation and materialism; a little study of conditions and the present point in evolution will make this apparent.”16

This full moon may well force Greece to modify its allegiances, to make some drastic decisions. Or, have decisions made for them – either by dominating nations or the people rising up and reclaiming Greece’s democratic soul. An impossible dream?

Virgo-Pisces in Portugal
The possibility of Portugal experiencing another earthquake as devastating as the one in 1755, is well overdue – not unlike San Francisco’s overdue “big one”. As an hypothesised Virgo soul with a Pisces personality, this full moon with its Uranus T-square could have a similar effect on Portugal as Greece – political, cultural or even terrestial seismic shifts.

Water sign Pisces (Portugal’s personality) – is a reminder of the gigantic tsunami which engulfed Lisbon in 1755. The event horoscope has a grand trine in water – between Sun-Venus in Scorpio, Poseidon-Mars in Cancer and Uranus-Sedna in Pisces.

Uranus the disruptor – as stated earlier, is often prominent in earthquakes. Its 11.5° position in Pisces was closely opposite the earlier Sept. 1755 total solar eclipse at 13° Virgo 19’. As discussed at a recent webinar with Portuguese and Brazilian students, dwarf planets and asteroids all have an influence upon seismic movements of the Earth:

“Figures also must be computed when the effect upon the planets of what are called “asteroids” is known. This is much greater than exoteric science has so far admitted, but the significance of this must eventually be interpreted in terms of energy and on etheric levels.”17

“Many are the lesser planets and numerous are the planetoids [Ceres-Demeter, Chiron] which have an energy or attractive quality all their own and which, from the systemic standpoint, must be allowed for in the measuring of the attraction producing the forms of or upon any particular planet.”18

In the 1755 event horoscope, Eris – goddess of strife and discord, was exactly conjunct the Sagittarius ascendant and lord of the underworld, Pluto!

Asteroid Hygeia was conjunct Chiron the wounded healer, representing a major cleansing and healing for defunct Portugal’s colonial era – thereafter never regaining its former glory.

Significantly, Jupiter and the Moon in Libra straddle the midheaven at the point of a T-square to Hygiea-Chiron in Capricorn – opposite Poseidon in Cancer, the sign ruled by Neptune esoterically.

Saturn – lord of karma and the law, was in its own sign Capricorn. Mars was in Cancer, closely conjunct Sirius. Pluto and Jupiter were both angular!

The estimated 7.7 to 8.5 quake killed between 40 -50,000 people and about 90% of Lisbon, creating a tsunami in many parts of Portugal, around 30 meters (100 ft.) – as this graphic description illustrates:

“The earthquake lasted from three and a half to six minutes [a very long time!] causing fissures 5 metres (16 ft) wide in the city center. Survivors rushed to the open space of the docks for safety and watched as the sea receded, revealing a plain of mud littered with lost cargo and shipwrecks.

Approximately 40 minutes after the earthquake, a tsunami engulfed the harbor and downtown area, rushing up the Tagus river “so fast that several people riding on horseback … were forced to gallop as fast as possible to the upper grounds for fear of being carried away.” It was followed by two more waves.

Candles lit in homes and churches all around the city for All Saints’ Day [Nov.1 Scorpio] were knocked over, starting a fire that developed into a firestorm which burned for hours in the city, asphyxiating people up to 30 metres (98 ft) from the blaze.”19

November 1 was All Saints Day and November 2 is the Festival of the Dead, the realm of Pluto, co-ruler of Scorpio, so prominently rising in the event horoscope. The Secret Doctrine states, “The god or spirit of the earth, who appeared in earthquakes, like Pluto, Yama, and so many others.”20

Fire and water are both agents of purification and the soul of the nation is hypothesised to be Virgo the Virgin, a major sign (along with Scorpio) of purification. Was Lisbon in dire need of cleansing the Catholic Church, as All Saints day appears to suggest?

“In 1755, the Catholic Church in Portugal was a major religious authority and played a significant role in society, as Lisbon was a center of Catholicism. The church’s influence was challenged after the devastating Lisbon earthquake, which led to debates about divine punishment and theodicy among Enlightenment thinkers.

Many people questioned how such a catastrophic event could occur, leading to discussions about morality, suffering, and humanity’s relationship with nature.”21

There was much criticism that church leaders around 1755 were more focused on wealth and power than on spiritual guidance. Here is a direct connection to the Vatican, whose policy broadcast to the entire Catholic world:

“The Roman Catholic Church is a strictly capitalistic church. The money gathered into its coffers supports a powerful ecclesiastical hierarchy and provides for its many institutions and schools. Blind faith and complete confidence in the priest and in the Vatican are regarded as spiritual duties.”22

And of course, the Catholic Church puts considerable emphasis and devotion to the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. There again, is a hint at the Virgo soul of Portugal and its highly devotional Pisces personality. The sixth ray of devotion flows through both signs – Virgo-Pisces.

Prior to the earthquake,

“For more than two centuries the Portuguese had been carving out an overseas empire that spanned from Brazil to India. Lisbon was a port of entry for fabulous wealth into Europe, and had become itself beautiful and prosperous.”

It appears that Lisbon had become too lavish, “materially vulgar” and indifferent to human suffering – if the following description is any guide. Not that this necessarily means the earthquake was some kind of divine retribution, but it may have been:

“Lisbon was a city of contrasts. The city was filled with the wealthy and the poor, living side by side. Hundreds of beggars roamed the filthy streets and waited in front of the monasteries and convents for food and shelter. Poor people depended on charity in 18th century Portugal and were mainly assisted by the Catholic Church.

In addition, many wealthy aristocrats had “their” poor to whom they gave regular donations and assistance. Merchants and sailors of all ranks mingled in the streets with the many African women selling corn, rice, and cooked bacon.

A large number of craftsmen could get rich from professions that are considered modest today: Pastry chefs, confectioners, blacksmiths, and bakers. The biggest contracts were associated with luxury goods, goldsmiths, hairdressers, and tailors who could become very rich and influential, depending on their clientele.

… A multitude of servants, aristocratic lords, captains, and even friars lived a life of dependence—sheltered in the master’s house, if they were expelled from their work, they fell into poverty.

The most unusual case was that of the soldiers. They earned their wages, sometimes just food, especially during wartime. They lived on very little, receiving their wages late and sometimes going unpaid for months and even years.

There were reports of soldiers, sometimes even officers, with ragged and miserable shoes. Crime and begging increased and became one of Lisbon’s trademarks in the mid-18th century, and the subject was heavily discussed by the authorities.

There was also a multitude of people linked to unskilled work and sea trades—from fishermen’s assistants, oarsmen, sailors, and porters, to sellers of fried fish and sardinellas—living from day to day.

… With around 200 000 inhabitants, Lisbon was the 4th largest city in Europe and although travellers considered it filthy, full of stray dogs and large animals, the wealth of the palaces and churches impressed foreigners: Gold ciboriums of the Patriarchal Church, safes of the House of India, jewels of the Church of Saint Roque, and the interior of the churches, where diamonds glittered on curtains, tablecloths, and vestments, and altars were covered in gold.

The most extreme example was the famous Patriarchal Church, with its legion of musicians and singers. The cardinal patriarch drove around the streets in a coach with his dozens of servants, wearing wide shorts, wigs, and red robes embroidered in gold, imitating the Pope’s retinue.

Palace walls contained the rarest of treasures, like the Duke of Lafões’ house, where there were paintings by Titian, Veronese, and Rubens. In these palaces, food was served in magnificent silver plates during sumptuous parties. Rich women dressed in French fashion, with oriental shawls wrapped around their shoulders.”23____________________________________________________

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Lisbon (Aug.28.)

This full moon chart set for Lisbon does have some seismic indications – and some very interesting water themes for Virgo-Pisces Portugal:

1. Leo rising with Jupiter and Hygiea straddling the ascendant, (Jupiter was angular in 1755.) – conjunct the pointer star Dubhe: who, “guides humanity upon the involutionary path, and is constantly active in its influence upon the man who is still upon the Mutable Cross.” All these points are closely square to Poseidon in water sign Scorpio. In 1755, Poseidon was in water sign Cancer.

2. Sedna conjunct Uranus, at the point of the T-square to Sun-Moon in Virgo-Pisces. Sedna (dwarf planet) represents themes of isolation, sacrifice, and transformation, drawing from the myth of the Inuit goddess who was cast into the ocean’s depths. Deep-seated karmic lessons and unresolved issues that can lead to spiritual growth.

3. Moon in Pisces conjunct Astraea, goddess of justice who brings things together, and also breaks them apart.

Here is just a brief summation to reflect upon and draw your own conclusions!

A Retrospective on Covid/Coronavirus
As Virgo is a sign of health, healing and integration of the etheric-physical, it might be timely during the Virgo interlude to reflect upon what happened in the years 2020-2023, when the whole world was hoaxed by Coronavirus, or Covid-19. Some have come to terms with it, others still struggle with accepting this fact.

Everyone has busy lives and responsibilities that has barely allowed them to catch their breath since that era began almost seven years ago – let alone integrate what happened, or do a deeper dive in researching all the particular facets.

Now, in the wake of Epstein files revelations and the recent interrogation of Anthony Fauci – to name a few, the truth cannot be ignored abot what happened in those years.

Nevertheless, the relentless exploiters are not resting on their laurels, the next one coming down the pipeline is mnexspike, courtesy of Moderna, a company alleged to be connected to Fauci.

Virgo to Capricorn: World Servers Week Dec. 2026
This event is still a few months away, but already groups are preparing themselves for  of the New Group of World Servers (NGWS). It has only been possible in the last century to bring together conscious working groups of individuals who are aligned to the Planetary Plan, to work meditatively at the full moon festivals, acting as a link between Hierarchy and Humanity.

The cycles of the NGWS are every seven years in the Christmas week of Capricorn, starting on the solstice. This year that week from Dec.21-28 happens to coincide with the Capricorn-Cancer full moon on Christmas Eve, Dec.24. The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the Sun on that date is appropriately, “The human soul receptive to growth and understanding.”

The Sun is in earth sign Virgo now – trine to earth sign Capricorn, so to use a Virgo metaphor, its is timely to plant the seed idea of World Servers Week. Many who tread the Way may have never heard of this festival and, combined with those who do know and understand its implications, can provide much reflection and preparation for it.

Drawing from an article for the last 7-year cycle of the NGWS, we can get a brief reminder of what it is about:

“1925: In 2025, the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the NGWS will take place, where DK states that, “the emergence of a band of “conditioning souls”, under the name of the New Group of World Servers, has been possible since 1925”.

1925 was also the period when The Hierarchy shifted gears for the first time since Atlantean days and moved their ashrams from the mental plane to the buddhic level. In 1925 Master R assumed the mantle of The Mahachohan, Lord of Civilisation.

1925 and 2025 are the dates set for the once-a-century meetings or conclaves of the Masters of Wisdom; They will have a particularly earnest decision to make about the timing of Their Reappearance and may already have a fair idea of when that might be.

2025 is the beginning of a cycle of the fourth ray of Harmony through Conflict – also known as the ray of art and beauty, a ray that has a particular affinity with Humanity and which has been “out of incarnation” for a very long time.” (An Astro-Historical View of the Seven-Year Festivals of the New Group of World Servers)

Indeed, the fact that 2025-6 is the centenary of the NGWS festival, coinciding with the recent 2025 conclave of the Masters of Wisdom at Shamballa, is highly significant!

Given the current world situation, the Reappearance may be hoped for sooner rather than later, one might say! The lyrics from a song by David Bowie come to mind: “Someone to save us, someone to follow, Someone to shame us, some brave Apollo”.

Here is stated the massed cry of humanity invoking a saviour, an Avatar, a return of Christ. Though we may make a massed invocation for “someone to save us”, the aspirants and disciples of the world have much work to do, to apply practically the esoteric teachings that they have been gifted in this past century; in a sense and as a group, the NGWS is The Christ.

Virgo is a sign that holds the latent Christ life or principle. Jupiter – the ruler of the 2^nd ray of Love-Wisdom, is the hierarchical ruler of this sign, “indicating the purpose of the Cosmic Christ.”

The 2^nd ray finds its strongest expression through Virgo – “the mother of the Christ child … which Virgo guards and nourishes and hides within herself.”24

2025-6 is a seed point between the Piscean and Aquarian eras. So many sensitive souls feel powerless, frustrated, fearful and apprehensive at this juncture of world history.

Yet, they need not, because more than ever conscious individuals and groups are stepping up their intention to regularly meditate and connect subjectively with like-minded groups and individuals in triangles across the globe – to hold the line, during this “war in heaven”.

What these group meditations can achieve, is the invoking of forces that have hitherto been waiting in abeyance. Here is where the power of The Great Invocation can be invoked – it is one of the major mantrams of the NGWS:

“I would remind you here that the evocation of this divine contact will be, in itself, dangerous, disrupting and destroying. The results are unpredictable for the human being, for men are as yet unaccustomed to respond to Lives and Influences of so high and divine a nature.

There is nevertheless a possibility that it might now be more safely permitted if enough people can stand together spiritually and selflessly, and so offer themselves as channels for these new and unknown spiritual Forces.

There are divine attributes, divine qualities and divine potencies which the most enlightened humanity of all time have as yet failed even to register, sense or vision—all three aspects escaping contact with these potencies.

Yet these powers exist, and the right handling of the present crisis by spiritually oriented humanity may bring about the release of some of these higher energies and the establishing of a line of factual influence along which They can move and consequently contact the Earth. Ponder on this and limit not Deity through the rigidity and finiteness of little minds.

The release of great impersonal forces is ever a critical matter. The effects produced are dependent upon the quality of the recipient aspects and the nature of the form quality upon which they make their impact.

In the world of chemistry, a catalyst, brought into contact with certain substances, will produce something entirely new and bring about changes not normally anticipated. These we are now beginning to study and to understand.

The intervention into the situation of certain potencies of stupendous gravity and uniqueness, and their effect upon the interacting Forces of Light and forces of aggression, is still more unpredictable, and only the grasp of the spiritually minded people of the world and their steadfastness in sacrifice—plus their clarity of vision and their united world focus—can make the situation safe for humanity as a whole. Bear these thoughts in mind as you use the great and new Invocation.”25

The “catalyst of chemistry” is very much the realm of Virgo the Apothecary, the Alchemist who creates cures and potions for healing – which can be taken as a metaphor for a greater planetary healing by a motivated, conscious world group – the New Group of World Servers.

Here is where the NGWS can move more consciously into the realm of practicing true white magic in the Aquarian Age, through visualisation in group meditation and directing those energies appropriately. Dolly Parton’s Departure
It would be remiss to not acknowledge the passing of country music icon Dolly Parton during this Virgo full moon period – a timely exit! Parton had the moon and rising sign in Virgo the wordsmith, seeing her write over 3,000 songs and create 49 studio albums.

Her horoscope is powerful: Sun-Venus in Capricorn in the Leonine 5^th house, hence her gargantuan mane! In fact, bouffant would be a better word, reflected by her recently opened Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville – titled “project bouffant museum”.

Coming from “rags to rhinestones”, she was a shrewd Capricornian business woman as well. This 5^th house sun is generous and big-hearted. Sun-Venus are square to her Jupiter in Libra in the 2^nd house of money – a sign that esoterically rules money, the law and sex.

Here is Parton the philanthropist and her Imagination Library for children (very Virgo), founded in honor of her illiterate father – who sired twelve children, six boys and six girls!

Venus in Capricorn square Jupiter in Libra was part of her beauty signature, including Jupiter’s expansive breasts! Sun-Venus square Jupiter is “larger than life” and as they say in Australia, “you can’t ignore those norgs”!

The other part of that signature is with the finely wrought features that many Virgo rising women carry. Here is the Virgo triple goddess – Eve, Isis or Mary. As the “Queen of Country” – a beauty queen, the Isis archetype was strong.

Virgo the Virgin never had her own children – ironic, coming from such a large family, yet she became the large-breasted “mother of many” – through her library program for children and her music: Parton the patron and matron.

This is reflected by Mars and Saturn in an exact conjuction in Cancer the Mother, both planets opposing Venus-Sun in Capricorn and T-squaring Jupiter in Libra. The astonishing Sabian Symbol for this 22^nd degree is, “A prima donna singing”.

Parton’s sun was in the last (anaretic) degree of Capricorn, on the cusp of Uranus-ruled Aquarius. She was a true “cusper” in this respect, carrying qualities of both signs. Uranus dominates the horoscope from the midheaven in Gemini – a sign of communication and writing, having Virgo’s Mercury rulership in common.

Parton was a truly unique Uranian, innovative and diversely Geminian. Uranus closely squares her Virgo ascendant soul purpose, so played a powerful role in her life. Virgo ruler Mercury is in Capricorn – trine the Virgo ascendant, bringing wise and careful thought processes to highly discriminating and studious Virgo.

Virgo also carries the 2^nd ray of Love-Wisdom more powerfully than any other sign, probably one of the key qualities she transmitted to her adoring audiences. In one interview she stated,

“Whether you believe in God or not, whether you call it Mother Nature [Virgo-Cancer] or Father Time [Saturn] or a higher wisdom … you need to believe in yourself and you need to believe there’s a force that can push you and lead you on … I’m not a religious fanatic … I am a “person of faith” and “a very spiritual person”.”

Here are just a few tidbits about Dolly Parton’s fascinating life, may she travel well upon her lighted journey!
