Festivals of the Solstice and Capricorn Full Moon
It is not often that a full moon festival coincides with one of the four cardinal points of the equinoxes and solstices – as does this 2018 Capricorn solar festival. Hence the potencies of both these cycles are brought together. The full moon period of five days, overlaps the solstice period of three days, yielding the window of December 20-25.
The solstice occurs when the sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly point, relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere – as depicted in the diagrams below. Inhabitants of the southern hemisphere will experience the summer solstice and in the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice.
Much subjective knowledge can be gleaned by poring over and reflecting upon these diagrams.
Solstice literally means “sun stands still” – the sun appears to rise in the same place for three days as it rounds the curve of its cycle. Esoterically, the symbolism of the northern winter solstice assumes greater importance because the Earth is tilted toward the north pole star, Polaris – spiritually the “star of direction and re-orientation”.
Hence, the darkest period of the year when “solar heroes” such as Christ, Buddha or the Messiah incarnate into darkest dense matter – symbolised by earthy Capricorn – right at the time when the Sun is gaining power and heading toward the next cardinal point – the spring equinox in Aries. In that darkest hour, emerges a glimmer of light and the promise of renewal. The solstice has been celebrated and revered in most world cultures for thousands of years, through ritual and ceremony, welcoming the rebirth of the Sun and invoking spiritual forces during the solstice “doorway”.

When the “sun stands still”, time ceases to exist – paradoxically, Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the “Lord of Time”. Our Solar Logos the Sun, is the great marker of zodiac time and humanity’s calendar systems; likewise, at the equinoxes when there is equal day and night. Time is an illusion, yet we mark our “four score and four” incarnations by the cycles of the sun. Civilisations rise and fall according to long term solar cycles calibrated by the Great Year precession cycle of 25,920 years, or the Hindu Yugas of even greater duration.
Western civilisation runs on linear “tick-tock” time, not yet fully aware that time is spirallic – where past, present and future overlap, merge or run parallel. Hence the solstice is an opportunity to transcend lower mind linear time and reconnect with the Soul-ar source; all of humanity is brought together during one window of time.
Naturally, transcending linear time can be effected individually on a daily basis throughout the year – in meditation; when correctly conducted, time is transcended and soul contact made – there is our daily soul-stice, standing as a soul, our sustenance or “daily bread”. The soul stands still in its long vigil, presiding with calmness and equilibrium over a life-lived.
Christmas Day is the third and final day of the solstice period, a time when families come together in a spirit of goodwill and exchange presents, evoking the Cancer polarity of Capricorn. Together, these two signs represent the mother and father respectively, the feminine and the masculine, the deepest valley and tallest mountain.

Capricorn is the mountain top of initiation – where the struggling disciple finally conquers the summit, after groping through the darkened valleys and obstacles upon the stone-strewn mountain path; the two-horned scape-goat “searching for green” is transformed into the one-pointed unicorn upon the snow-capped peak; duality is transcended and synthesis achieved.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
The symbolic birth of Jesus to a Virgin mother on Christmas Day, means that Virgo was astronomically rising and the sun was in Capricorn, the sign of the initiate. The birth of Jesus is celebrated at Christmas, as the disciple of the Christ Avatar for the Piscean Age. Soon, that Being will make a reappearance in the next decade or so, inaugurating the Aquarian precession cycle by enunciating new principles and truths.
The actual time for that Reappearance will be decided in 2025, at the once-in-a-century conclave of the Great White Brotherhood. Given the current world situation, sooner rather than later might be a preference! Bear in mind also, that this will be the first time that the Masters of Wisdom will have appeared among humanity for aeons of time.
Two prominent rays that pour through Capricorn are the first ray of Will-Power and the seventh ray of Ceremonial Magic, or Organisation. The first ray has a deep connection to Shamballa, the planetary crown chakra from where the “Will of God” is directed, the purpose and plan for Humanity. The aforementioned pole star Polaris, so prominent in northern hemisphere solstice symbolism, is known as “The Star of Direction—governing Shamballa.”[2]

Solstice rituals are governed by the seventh ray of Ceremonial Magic. Uranus is the ruler of this ray and as the “planet of science” – both exoteric and esoteric – and is connected to the scientific knowledge required for ritual and ceremony – to invoke forces from on high. Uranus also rules Aquarius, the sign of group work and co-operation; these combinations of forces makes for a potency on any solstice, but particularly when the full moon is synchronising during the same period.
The Capricorn full moon solar festival occurs simultaneously with the the solstice, literally super-charging the Christ-Mass solstice period of 2018. This will have a dual effect of course, as all zodiac signs have their lower and higher expression. On the lower side, there is the crass commercialism of Christmas and the appalling Boxing Day sales where shoppers stampede department stores.
Christmas is viewed as an opportunity for material gain through presents and stuffing oneself with food. Families come together and genuinely celebrate or feud with one another. Often long-standing issues emerge at Christmas, especially when family members have not seen each other for some years; there is the lunar-Cancer polarity. 
Capricorn is a sign of striving for achievement, material and/or spiritual. Christmas is the end of the working year for most people, hence a time to relax and take a rewarding rest, shorter or longer depending upon the hemisphere habitat.
On the higher side (Christmas is always a mixture of the lower and higher expressions of Capricorn), the main message is “Peace on earth and goodwill to all men”. It is a platitude that is repeated every year, sometimes in an empty way that is simply tokenism, or as a genuine attempt at human upliftment.
People volunteer at the soup kitchens on Christmas Day for the homeless, but what happens for the rest of the year? – usually nothing to better their cause or to truly lift them up on a permanent basis. But at least the thought is there and the spirit of goodwill, no matter how latent or disingenuous, is expressed.

Christmas is also the exoteric end of the year and there is truth in this because Capricorn is a sign of finality and achievement; this tenth sign is the number of perfection. But spiritually speaking, the end of the year is in Pisces, whilst Aries inaugurates the new year. However, Capricorn is a sign where people are determined to better themselves through new year resolutions. Capricorn is an opportune sign to make these decisions because it is a sign of seriousness, solemnity and the mental discipline needed to give up old habits – to resolve to do so – to make the resol-ution.
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and rules the throat chakra, the seat of the mental body, hence, its power can be more easily invoked during the period when the sun spends 30 days in this sign. Saturn also rules the first decanate of the following sign Aquarius, where the resolution can evolve into the revolution; where one can move radically away from past habits and behaviours, in preparation for the following sign Pisces, where all impediments and habits are released and relinquished, ground down in the mill of time. Ideally, this is how the zodiacal progression works, in preparation for the new cycle in the following sign Aries.
The esoteric keynote for Capricorn is “Lost am I in light supernal and on that light I turn my back” – meaning that both material and spiritual ambition have been transcended, leaving all that remains, as service to one’s fellow humanity.
Capricorn and the Forces of Materialism
In the opening passage of this Capricorn missive, it is stated:
“Effort, strain, struggle, the fight with the forces native to the underworld, or the strenuous conditions entailed by the tests of discipleship or initiation …”[3]
Through its ruler Saturn, Capricorn is connected to the “underworld” which is the planetary Dweller on the Threshold, and the materialistic forces that have controlled Humanity since the ancient days of Atlantis:
“Saturn is one of the most potent of the four Lords of Karma and forces man to face up to the past, and in the present to prepare for the future. Such is the intention and purpose of karmic opportunity. From certain angles, Saturn can be regarded as the planetary Dweller on the Threshold, for humanity as a whole has to face that Dweller as well as the Angel of the Presence, and in so doing discover that both the Dweller and the Angel are that complex duality which is the human family.”[4]
This “karmic opportunity” will increase in its scope in the next couple of years as Saturn completes its transit through Capricorn, but especially when it passes into a relatively rare conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn – in January 2020. Bearing our Atlantean history in mind, this battle between the forces of light and materialism is today being fought upon a higher turn of the evolutionary spiral because,

1. The Masters of Wisdom are preparing for their Reappearance amongst humanity once again.
2. Humanity is “in a great state of turmoil, prior to taking a great step forward in self-conscious unfoldment.”[5]
3. Advanced humanity and the disciples of the world are equally in a state of turmoil as they are tried and tested in the fiery crucible, prior to taking their respective initiations.
Hence, during this combined solstice/full moon period, lies a great opportunity for the forces of light to make a stand, to “stand still”, to stand and hold in tension the afore-mentioned forces of the first ray power of Shamballa – the source of the Planetary Plan. As 2025 approaches, more than ever, conscious individuals and groups will step up their intention to regularly meditate and connect subjectively during these periods, linking with other like-minded groups and individuals across the globe – to hold the line, during this “war in heaven”.
If this is successfully achieved, then world conflicts will be avoided because their energies have been dispersed at causal levels through subjective, esoteric work and right direction of thought. This is where world servers can begin to be conscious co-workers with The Great White Brotherhood:
“Capricorn admits the soul into conscious participation in the life of that world centre which we call the Hierarchy.”[6]
From Capricorn in one year to Capricorn in the next year, there is continual consolidation and concretisation of structures for living, bringing on crystallisation that must be regularly shattered. Thoughtforms that are constructed with the aid of Saturn may last for one decade or a year, before they need to be broken up and destroyed, allowing new thoughtforms to be created; they are all structures or containers for holding the evolving consciousness as it moves from step to step in its unfoldment.
If evolution in consciousness is to proceed, then these geometrical structures need to be transformed continually. This is why Capricorn has been called a sign of “periodic arresting” because once the summit has been achieved, no further ascent is possible in any particular life cycle:
“Progress becomes impossible under the existing forms, and there has to be the descent into the valley of pain, despair and death before a fresh attempt to scale the heights takes place.”[7]
Capricorn Nations, France
All individuals, nations and racial entities with Capricorn prominent will be affected by this full moon period of Capricorn. India, Austria, Spain, Paris and Australia are Capricorn personalities, whilst Warsaw, Poland is a Capricorn soul. The Jewish people, nearly half a million of whom suffered so terribly in Warsaw during WW2, are ruled at the personality level by Capricorn. Paris has a Capricorn personality through which the forces of crystallisation pour through:
“Capricorn, ruling Paris, signifies both death and initiation into the spiritual life, and here lies the choice for France. With the cooperation which Pluto can give in bringing about those conditions which will lead to the revelation of Virgo (ruling the soul of Paris) there is possible — in connection with this powerful and influential country — a contribution to the life of humanity which will be effective in bringing about the new desired conditions in Europe, but France’s demand for her personal security must give place to the security of the whole from aggression and evil and fear, and all thought of revenge upon or the dismemberment of other countries in the interests of France will have to end, if the true soul of France is to find expression.”1

France has recently been rocked by riots and civil disobedience – as working class groups attempt to gain better conditions. It appears that Paris’ sun (personality) might well be at the 22nd degree of Capricorn – through which Pluto is currently passing. Pluto rules insurrection, destruction and transformation. Earthy Capricorn is connected to the mineral kingdom and money, the so called “concrete expression of the Law of Supply”,[8] closely related to the law of Supply and Demand. Here is where one of the main current global problems is coming into focus – the selfish appropriation of money at the expense of the people.
This ongoing problem of labour and capital contributed to the French Revolution, just after revolutionary Uranus was discovered and precipitated into the consciousness of humanity. The commoners turned upon the aristocracy and this story may well be repeated, as the working classes come into a greater awareness of the unfairness of the current system. The recent civil disobedience in Paris may well increase around the world, through the information revolution that has expanded the minds of the masses and created a greater awareness of why humanity is caught in this plight:
Liberty, Equality, Fraternity.
“The responsibility for the widespread misery to be found today in every country in the world lies predominantly at the door of certain major interrelated groups of business-men, bankers, executives of international cartels, monopolies, trusts and organizations and directors of huge corporations who work for corporate or personal gain. They are not interested in benefiting the public except in so far that the public demand for better living conditions will enable them—under the Law of Supply and Demand—to provide the goods, the transportation, light and power which will in the long run bring in heavier financial returns. Exploitation of man-power, the manipulation of the major planetary resources and the promotion of war for private or business profit are characteristic of their methods.”[9]
Today, as Uranus transits through Taurus (currently making a brief retrograde back into Aries), this theme of money will come into sharper focus and may well lead to a worldwide collapse of an increasingly unworkable financial system; the toppling of plutocrats – appropriately whilst Pluto transits Capricorn! Taurus is also a sign of money and Uranus’s transit here guarantees radical changes. The three main signs of money are Taurus, Libra and Capricorn ruled exoterically and hierarchically by Venus:
“Uranus is the esoteric ruler and is of supreme importance in this sign for the seventh ray works through this planet and is the embodiment of the principle of concretion and the materialising of that which is in need of objective manifestation, through the bringing together of spirit and matter. It is here that the whole mystery of money lies hid and the creation and production of money … It is through the relation of the three aspects of the third divine manifestation—law, affinity and concretised energy—that money is created.”[10]

Capricorn Britain: Extraordinary Transits and Brexit
“The causes of Brexit have been misdiagnosed. There was much in the way of dog whistle politics by the Leave camp which played on people’s fears, which is always a surefire way to sway many within a populace, the American version being ‘God, guts and guns’. There were also scare tactics on the Remain side. The main points that were constantly harped upon by the Leave camp were sovereignty, immigration, money that had to be paid to the EU and stifling EU regulations, with an uglier undertone of racism.
… neither side addressed the larger issue involved, which had nothing to do with Brussels, other than the fact that Brussels embraces the same sorts of fiscal policies under which the Greeks are currently existing. Behind the issues cited by the Leave camp was one fairly clear issue – the desire to be free of regulations for business concerns – and for business to have more control over domestic policies and politics. If this seems cynical, look at who spearheaded the Leave campaign and follow the money.
Brexit was also a good example of what happens if people on the side of unity are complacent and/or ineffectual. Most people expected Britain to remain, which was part of the complacency. But there are also officials on the Remain side that feed from the trough of the EU.”[11]
The events unfolding in Britain around Brexit at the moment are extremely important and will have ramifications not only for Europe, but the entire world. Britain’s horoscope is the 1801 Union – Capricorn sun, Libra rising and a Cancer moon. Esoterically most nations have different horoscopes, for instance Britain’s esoteric horoscope is Gemini rising with a Taurus sun. Nevertheless, the exoteric charts “work” very well, when transits and progressions are considered in light of national events. Also, the exoteric and esoteric horoscopes have interaction with one another. But, before examining the extraordinarily appropriate transits to the exoteric horoscope of 1801, a reminder of the esoteric influences for Britain:
Britannia of Britain has been used in a very nationalistic way in the past, however the esoteric symbolism is strong. Here is a blend of the masculine and the feminine – the male Leo lion (London) with Leo’s ruler the sun prominent. Britannia holds a trident, symbol of Neptune – the esoteric ruler of Leo, whilst the flag on her shield represents the unity of all parts of the British Empire.
1. Britain’s soul ray is the second ray of love-wisdom, the major underlying spiritual force of the entire solar system.
2. Britain’s soul sign is Gemini through which the second ray of love-wisdom is the only ray to pass. Britain has a close relation to the USA, a Gemini personality.
3. Britain’s personality ray is the first ray of will-power, the ray of government and politics.
4. Britain’s personality sign is Taurus, a sign closely related to its current predicament, due to the stubborn and materialistic nature of this sign. Since Uranus entered Taurus in May 2018, the British personality is undergoing a big shake-up.
5. London’s soul is Leo, the mighty lion who rules – through the nation’s first ray personality. Leo is the fifth sign, corresponding to the fifth ray of science, the soul ray of London; the first and fifth rays are the only two rays that pass through Leo; it is this combination of Leo and the fifth ray at the soul level that gives London such a commanding influence globally. Hence, London is the throat chakra of the Fifth Rootrace – the seat of mind and developed consciousness; whatever is undermined or attacked in this city, affects the world.
6. London’s personality is Libra, sign of the law, legislation and justice. As a leading pioneer of democracy, the laws made in London affect the entire world. Libra is also the sign of decision-making – such as the vote on Brexit, December 11.
7. Britain is one of the leading advanced souls among nations and participates in two very important triangles of energy relating to Humanity’s long term evolution, moving from the fifth to sixth rootraces: UK, USA, Russia. And UK, USA, Brazil. Britain is also the mother of the British Commonwealth that is extant around the world. Although many nations have seceded from this body, the subjective ties of unity remain.
And now, to an examination of the exoteric 1801 chart for Britain.
For all the transits mentioned below, please refer to the transits horoscope below where they are clearly delineated. Amazingly, all the outer planets are involved and highly active in Britain’s horoscope – from the longest cycle of Pluto to the shortest cycle of Jupiter, including Uranus, Neptune and Saturn.
Pluto transit The current issue of Brexit is reflected in the transit of Pluto to Britain’s Cancer moon. The moon represents the unconscious, the shadow, where we become stuck, what gets us into the most conflict with others. Cancer represents the mother, home, family, tradition. 
Apart from its psychic sensitivity, a Cancer moon can be particularly attached to the past; and combined with a Capricorn sun, will have issues around money, resources and territory – a sense of lack that can generate an over-compensating greed; an imposed economic austerity (neo-liberalism) that over-rides goodwill and compassion. When these traits are compared to the similarities of Britain’s materialistic Taurus personality, then the themes are magnified.
At the Brexit vote in June 2016, transiting Pluto the Destroyer was moving into an opposition with the Britain’s Cancer moon – and was exactly opposing the moon shortly after in early 2017. Often Pluto transits can be felt several degrees applying and Brexit was no exception. Pluto makes its final exact opposition now, in early December, but will remain closely in orb for most of 2019.
Additionally, it is the progressed lunar return for Britain, that occurs every 27 years. The progressed moon will return to its natal position in the first week of May 2019, coinciding with transiting Saturn taking over from Pluto, in its opposition to the Cancer moon. Britain’s horoscope is “under siege” from the destroying/regenerating forces of Pluto and all the other transits. Because of the transit of Pluto to the moon, Britain has been facing its shadow and going through an intense transformation – hence the chaos and tension around the Brexit decision. Esoterically considered, London (the location of Westminster/parliament), has a Libra personality, synchronising with Libra rising in the 1801 horoscope – currently with a regenerating Pluto solar arc aspect to it. One of the main themes of Libra is the Law – and making decisions about laws – by the careful balancing of the judicial mind. This capacity for decisiveness and clarity has been somewhat thwarted due to the Neptune transit discussed later on.

Perhaps Britain’s loss of its former imperialist glory has prompted it to withdraw from the European Union, in a vain attempt to grasp back something of the past; or its financial insecurity, mistrust fo the EU, plain old greed – or several of these factors. The moon in Cancer is the most elevated body in the chart, giving it great power – reflecting an emotionally susceptible public – easily swayed despite the inherent pragmatism of the British people. When Lady Diana was killed in 1997, transiting Saturn was exactly squaring this Cancer moon, evoking an unparalleled outpouring of tears and grief; not only for Britain, but around the world, another factor related to this nation’s considerable influence. The Cancer moon is also trine to Neptune, the planet of idealism and vision – the ruler of the emotional body and the esoteric ruler of Cancer.

Pluto in Capricorn represents subterranean forces and powerful people; they were certainly present before the Brexit vote, in the form of a small cabal of super wealthy businessmen (plutocrats) and members of parliament, who put their selfish interests ahead of the nation’s greater good. And in so doing, these individuals have undermined and disrupted the nation, Europe and the world at large.

“Brexit had been planned for years by a group centered on 55 Tufton St. in London. That group has connections with the Neocons in the US. It was a group cobbled together from billionaires, business interests, hard right conservatives … that also employed data mining, spying … to put forward the campaign. Does any of that sound familiar to readers in the US?
Cambridge Analytica was involved. Tufton Street is just around the river’s bend from the City of London, the latter being the seat of London’s banking industry and management of the UK’s secrecy districts. The motto most frequently parroted as the catch phrase for the Leave camp was “Take back control”. It was a vague and misleading message, as such campaign slogans often are. We might well ask, take back control from whom? The answer to that question is central to the purpose behind Brexit.

If this also sounds familiar to US readers, it is because some of the people involved in Brexit were the same people involved in the Trump campaign. On the other side, staying in the EU as it is currently will change nothing and enable the ‘liberal’ elites to continue as they are, to the further detriment of the British public.
The people who would most benefit from Brexit are the billionaire class and those people with enough savvy to game the financial system as it exists. It won’t be the average UK citizen. If we wanted any further confirmation that US interests are also involved, then we need look no further than Trump’s statement when he was in the UK that there would be no free trade deal with the US without a hard Brexit.”[12]
Hence, the British public was duped by these moneyed interests, with the assistance of a well financed media propaganda campaign – and people like Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson; and now the parliament is in complete disarray as politicians struggle to deal with the problem. The deception of the British was a triumph of modern propaganda; it occurred through the negative effects of subterranean Pluto, plus the emotionally vulnerable Cancer moon, activated by Pluto; but Neptune was also a huge factor.

Neptune Transit One of the main ongoing transits regarding this public deception was from Neptune, esoteric ruler of Britain’s Cancer moon. Transiting Neptune has been approaching a square to Britain’s idealistic and intuitive Mercury in Sagittarius since early 2018. The mass effect of Neptune has its point of least and lowest resistance in creating confusion and deception in the nation’s thought processes (Mercury); essentially it created a misplaced idealism, but also a deliberate hoax by the afore-mentioned parties; the British people had “the wool pulled over their eyes”, a typical lower Neptune deception. This transit will progress to exact aspects by April and September 2019, with the final hit in February 2020; however, it will remain “in orb” of influence through all of 2020.
To further highlight Mercury’s position, at the height of the Brexit crisis, the Sagittarius new moon on December 7 fell very close to Mercury, whilst transiting Jupiter on its 12-year cycle is about to pass over Mercury in the last week of January 2019 – with two more hits in late June and late September 2019. (See the transits chart above for the UK where these planets are clearly delineated.) Bear in mind that Jupiter is the ruler of Britain’s second ray soul and is transiting through its own sign Sagittarius at the moment. The last week of December sees Mercury return to its natal position in Sagittarius – the “Mercury return”.
Furthermore, solar arc Mars is in the mix, closely approaching Mercury in Sagittarius. (Again, see transits diagram above.) With the emphasis so powerfully on this position, whose theme is seeking truth, there is a possibility that the scales of deception may fall away. Hence, the same negative effects of this transit will still stay in play, but there is the potential of newer, higher ideals precipitating through the tension of Neptune squaring Mercury in Sagittarius – that could “seize the day” and propel Britain in a new direction.
Saturn’s rings are made of many blocks of ice and dust that orbit the planet in a disorganized way. There are thousands of rings with an extraordinarily complex structure, divided into seven main sections.
Saturn Transit Saturn has been transiting over Britain’s sun – on and off for all of 2018. This is a cycle that only occurs every thirty years – where the weight of responsibility falls heavily, plus a tendency to focus on the fiscal, rather than philosophy and first principles; this transit is also why Britain is “stuck”. The last pass of Saturn over Britain’s sun occurs in the last week of December 2018 – and may reflect some release as the new year appears on the horizon. Of note also, is that Australia has the sun in Capricorn at the same degree (1-1-1901) – with a similar government and fiscal policies. (Actually, “appalling” policies might be a better description!)
Britain’s Capricorn sun is placed in the fourth house of home and family, emphasising the fourth sign Cancer moon and its tendency to isolation. The esoteric keynote for Cancer on the “ordinary wheel” is: “Let isolation be the rule and yet the crowd exists.” This perfectly sums up the regressive tendency of a Brexit vote – notwithstanding any good reasons for Leave. The esoteric keynote on the reversed wheel is, “I build a lighted house and therein dwell” – in the EU? The following passage may well be applied to Britain’s current predicament:
Westminster, London – the heart of British government. London is a Leo soul and Libra personality.
“Is the house you are building yet lit? Is it a lighted house, or is it a dark prison? If it is a lighted house, you will attract to its light and warmth all who are around you and the magnetic pull of your soul, whose nature is light and love, will save many. If you are still an isolated soul, you will have to pass through the horrors of a more complete isolation and loneliness, treading alone the dark way of the soul. Yet this isolation, this loneliness and this separation in the dark night are all part of the Great Illusion.”[13]
Transiting Saturn goes on to make an opposition to Britain’s Cancer moon, taking over where Pluto left off. What Pluto has destroyed, Saturn may reconstruct anew – using new building materials and reconfigured geometry. The three passes of Saturn opposite Britain’s moon will be from early March, the last week of May 2019, mid-June and mid-December 2019. This period may certainly reflect a rebuilding period following Pluto’s demolition cum renovation! Shortly thereafter, in January 2020, arrives the much anticipated conjunction of Saturn and Pluto.
Uranus Transit
Transiting Uranus entered Taurus in May 2018, moving into a square with Jupiter in Leo in the 1801 horoscope. Second ray Jupiter as the soul of Britain, placed in Leo the soul of London is a stunning combination for the love-wisdom soul and will-power personality of this nation. Uranus moving through Taurus, esoterically the personality of Britain, will force some revolutionary changes in this fixed sign – especially in regard to money. But essentially the transit of Uranus to Jupiter will evoke the soul of the nation to express itself; this Uranus-Jupiter tension will last for all of 2019.
Jupiter Transit
Jupiter on its 12-year cycle is about to pass over Mercury in Sagittarius in the last week of January 2019 – with two more hits during the year in late June and late September 2019. (See the transits chart above for the UK where these planets are clearly delineated.) As mentioned earlier, Jupiter is the ruler of Britain’s second ray soul and is transiting through its own sign rulership at he moment. Transiting Jupiter is working very closely with transiting Neptune – as both planets are respectively conjoining and squaring Mercury in Sagittarius. Hence, this extraordinary combination gives the added advantage of Britain re-orienting herself to a new ideal.
Now that the vote for Brexit has been postponed, its future outcome may not be known until after Christmas. Hence, the importance of considering the transits to Britain’s horoscope and to observe the situation from a long term perspective. With so many significant aspects, the current chaos and uncertainty must eventually resolve into a better solution. The full moon of the Capricorn solstice will undoubtedly have a profound effect upon Britain, a time of deep reflection for this nation over the Christmas period.

“Confusion deepened as a senior police officer in the case said it was “always a possibility that there may not have been any genuine drone activity in the first place”.” A classic case of a pattern in the recent full moon horoscope and its lower expression, or point of least resistance: Mercury-Jupiter square to Neptune – mass disruption and confusion after alleged drone attacks, then undue speculation causes wrongful arrest and general confusion. (Mercury rules transport.) Projection and inquisition (Sagittarius) upon innocent people who endured “36 hours of questioning” and vilification by media. Wow. If this incident reflects the state of Britain now, one wonders what will happen with Brexit?
During the solstice full moon period this year, the Sun is at its lowest point anchored in matter, prior to its “resurrection” again on Christmas day – when it starts to gain strength and shed more light. The Sun or solar logos/solar system is seen esoterically as an corporate entity whose “seven sacred planets” are seven energy centres or chakras.In fact we are informed that the Cancer-Capricorn axis, with Saturn, form a combination that “enables the aspirant to tread the Path of Purification and Probation …”.Now that Saturn is in its own sign of Capricorn, there is a broad opportunity to anchor this Sirian energy in the consciousness of greater numbers, especially at this extraordinary juncture of solstice period and full moon. The full moon period for Capricorn in December 2018 coincided with the winter solstice, supercharging and combining these two important spiritual events. In many ways, this current Capricorn festival is a warm-up for the seven year cycle of the New Group of World Servers (NGWS) – that occurs Capricorn in December 2019. The last 7 year cycle of the NGWS was in December 2012, closely coinciding with the end of the Mayan Calendar. (See 2012 newsletter here.)
1925: In 2025, the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the NGWS will take place, where DK states that, “the emergence of a band of “conditioning souls”, under the name of the New Group of World Servers, has been possible since 1925”.1925 was also the period when The Hierarchy shifted gears for the first time since Atlantean days and moved their ashrams from the mental plane to the buddhic level. 1925 was also the period when the Master R assumed the mantle of The Mahachohan, Lord of Civilisation.
1925 and 2025 are the dates set for the once-a-century meetings or conclaves of the Masters of Wisdom; They will have a particularly earnest decision to make about the timing of Their Reappearance and may already have a fair idea of when that might be.2025 is the beginning of a cycle of the fourth ray of Harmony through Conflict – also known as the ray of art and beauty, a ray that has a particular affinity with Humanity and which has been “out of incarnation” for a very long time.
1935: Although the NGWS has been possible since 1925, the year 1935 was the first Capricorn festival impulse that inaugurated all the following seven-year cycles: “In December, 1935, the energies of Capricorn were augmented by the pouring in of forces from a still greater constellation which is—to our zodiac—what the zodiac is to the earth. This augmentation will take place again in 1942 … By means of this augmentation—during the coming Aquarian zodiacal cycle [next 2,000 years] — groups on earth can avail themselves of the tide of Capricornian influences which will flow into our radius of registration every seven years.”[1]
1942: Just as the recent full moon coincided with the solstice in 2018, there was a full moon at the solstice almost 77 years ago on December 22, 1942 – in the first degree of Capricorn-Cancer. The NGWS must have “availed themselves” of these potent forces to help reverse the tide of WW2 – that hitherto was going the way of the Axis powers.1942 was a “do or die” moment for Hierarchy and Humanity – it was when the tide of war turned in favour of the forces of light – with the aid of the so-called Lords of Liberation. Yet, since that time the war has re-developed into a third phase upon the mental plane, in the world of clashing ideologies – threatening to precipitate upon the physical plane. The door where evil dwells has drifted ajar again – as the forces of Materialism seek to control Humanity, knowing full well the imminent Externalisation of the Hierarchy.Here, the words of artist and poet William Blake, come to mind: “I will not cease from mental fight, nor shall my sword sleep in my hand.” The NGWS must step up their efforts of consciously co-operating with Hierarchy, of recognising and tasking their role as a mediator between Hierarchy and Humanity – to ensure that the scales tip in favour of the Greater Plan.
As touched upon earlier, the 1942 and 2018 Capricorn festivals have a remarkable commonality – they both fell on the full moon and the solstice; this is the fourth time that this coincidence has occurred since 1942.
Hence, the recent Capricorn festival links the 1942 global crisis with the 2018 global crisis – as a prelude and build-up to the NGWS festival week of December 2019. There is much work to do in the ensuing full moon festivals leading up to December 2019.
With regard to 1942, we are reminded of the stunning comments from the Master DK about that period:
“The evil forces were closer to success than any of you have ever dreamed. They were so close to success in 1942 that there were four months when the members of the spiritual Hierarchy had made every possible arrangement to withdraw from human contact for an indefinite and unforeseen period of time … we believed that man would go down to defeat, owing to his selfishness and his misuse of the principle of free will.
We made all preparations to withdraw, and yet at the same time we struggled to get humanity to choose rightly and to see the issues clearly … the mental potency of the forces of evil was overcome and the “energy of the future” was directed or impelled by Those Who were seeking the higher human values and the spiritual good of mankind.”[2]
Indeed, in this day and age of 2019, the “energy of the future” must be re-invoked, the higher human values emphasised with the spiritual good of mankind. When the “sun moved northward” in 1942, after the Capricorn solstice and full moon, the “war had been won” esoterically, leaving another three years for it to precipitate into physical plane reality in 1945.
Now, almost 77 years on, the world is in a similar situation, but it is a far more subtle and less obvious crisis for the unawakened masses than it was in 1942. In the past few decades, fascism has reared its ugly head again and is present in the expression of many Western nations.
Yet, there is also a corresponding marked resistance steadily emerging. Nevertheless, Humanity and the NGWS cannot live in a fool’s paradise, in an aspirational self-satisfied fantasy of blind faith that everything will be OK – despite the fact that the NGWS may have expanded and strengthened its position. DK informs us that,
“They [NGWS] can now come in because of the work already done by the group of souls who hastened their entrance into incarnation … These souls, because of their point in evolution … because of their impressibility to the group idea and to the Plan, can come into incarnation and begin, more or less, to work out that Plan and evoke a response to it in the human consciousness. They are thus in a position to “prepare the way for the coming of the Lord.”[3]
2025 The actual time for the Reappearance will be decided in 2025, at the once-in-a-century conclave of the Great White Brotherhood. The Reappearance may be very soon, a few years after – or it might be several decades away. The Planetary Plan concerns The Externalisation of the Hierarchy – and nothing can stop this inevitable occurence, as The Hierachy utilise the flow of the incoming Aquarian forces.
Given the current world situation, the Reappearance may be hoped for sooner rather than later, one might say! The lines from a song by David Bowie come to mind: “Someone to save us, someone to follow, Someone to shame us, some brave Apollo”.
Here is stated the massed cry of humanity invoking a saviour, an Avatar, a return of Christ. Though we may make a massed invocation for “someone to save us”, the aspirants and disciples of the world have much work to do, to apply practically the esoteric teachings that they have been gifted in this past century. In a sense, and as a group, they are The Christ.
Bear in mind also, that this will be the first time that the Masters of Wisdom have appeared among humanity since the Atlantean war several million years ago. DK again tells us:
“I refer to an aspect of the amazing enterprise upon which the Hierarchy is embarked within this cycle: Its appearance, expression and activity upon the physical plane for the first time since it withdrew into the subjective side of life and focussed itself on the mental plane (instead of the physical) during the days of ancient Atlantis and after the war between the Lords of the Shining Countenance and Lords of the Dark Face … For millions of years, as a result of the triumph of evil in those days, the Hierarchy has stood in silence behind world events.”[4]
Capricorn and the Forces of Materialism
Two prominent rays that pour through Capricorn are the first ray of Will-Power and the seventh ray of Ceremonial Magic, or Organisation. The first ray has a deep connection to Shamballa, the planetary crown chakra from where the “Will of God” is directed, the purpose and plan for Humanity.
The pole star Polaris, so prominent in northern hemisphere solstice symbolism, is known as “The Star of Direction—governing Shamballa.”[5] Yet, countering the Plan are the Materialistic Forces of the so-called underworld that DK describes in the following passage:
“Effort, strain, struggle, the fight with the forces native to the underworld, or the strenuous conditions entailed by the tests of discipleship or initiation …”[6]
Through its ruler Saturn, Capricorn is connected to the “underworld” which is essentially the planetary Dweller on the Threshold, and the materialistic forces that have controlled Humanity since the ancient days of Atlantis:
“Saturn is one of the most potent of the four Lords of Karma and forces man to face up to the past, and in the present to prepare for the future. Such is the intention and purpose of karmic opportunity. From certain angles, Saturn can be regarded as the planetary Dweller on the Threshold, for humanity as a whole has to face that Dweller as well as the Angel of the Presence, and in so doing discover that both the Dweller and the Angel are that complex duality which is the human family.”[7]
2019: During the NGWS festival week in December 2019, there will be four placements in Capricorn: Sun, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. Hence, all through 2019 this karmic opportunity will increase in its scope – as these planets pass through Capricorn, making conjunctions with one another, and into 2020.
Karmic opportunity can result in very challenging situations, hence 2019 may well be associated with much strife, pain and conflict. Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn will continue to expose the power elite and their selfish machinations over Humanity, particularly in the realm of the global financial situation and politics. Meanwhile, Jupiter the planet of Love-Wisdom, will be bringing some profound Lessons in Love as DK describes in Esoteric Astrology:
“Jupiter … falls in this sign … Jupiter in its lowest aspect gives the fulfilment of desire and satisfied demand, whilst in its highest, Jupiter is the outgoing expression of love, which attracts magnetically to itself that which is desired—this time the good of the whole.
In Capricorn, therefore, Jupiter reaches its lowest point of expression in the densest material aspect, and then—as love and selflessness triumph—this lowest aspect vanishes and disappears. It is to the “fall” of the highest aspect that the symbolism refers, and then later to the fall or disappearance of all that is base and low. Love is fallen and blinded when desire is rampant; desire vanishes when love triumphs.”[8]
Bearing our Atlantean history in mind, this ancient battle between the forces of light and materialism is today being fought upon a higher turn of the evolutionary spiral because,
- The Masters of Wisdom are preparing for their Reappearance amongst humanity once again.
- Humanity is “in a great state of turmoil, prior to taking a great step forward in self-conscious unfoldment.
- Advanced humanity and the disciples of the world, the NGWS – are equally in a state of turmoil as they are tried and tested in the fiery crucible, prior to taking their respective initiations.
Hence, during this combined solstice/full moon period of 2018, lies a great opportunity for the forces of light to make a stand, to “stand still”, to stand and hold in tension the afore-mentioned forces of the first ray power of Shamballa – the source of the Planetary Plan. And to hold that tension right the way through to December 2019.
As 2025 approaches, more than ever, conscious individuals and groups will step up their intention to regularly meditate and connect subjectively during these periods, linking with other like-minded groups and individuals in triangles across the globe – to hold the line, during this “war in heaven”.
Uranus, Saturn, the Seventh Ray and Seven Year Cycles
The NGWS Festival Week is in Capricorn, hence its symbol:
“… is the mountain with a goat standing on the summit, and again an astrological sign, that of Capricorn, can be noted. All hard places can be surmounted, and the summit reached by the “Divine Goat,” symbol of the group, viewed as a unit.”[9]
The progressive energy of the 7th ray pours through Capricorn, encouraging the Law of Group Progress which is esoterically called “the Law of Elevation” for,
“… it concerns the mysteries of group realisation, and expansions of consciousness and the part each unit plays in the general progress of a group … The elevation of a unit results in the raising of the group; the realisation of the unit brings about eventually group recognition; the initiation of the unit leads finally to planetary initiation … their realisation of their essential nature, only in order to offer up the best they have and realise to the interests of the group, are but the methods whereby the work of liberation is carried forward.”[10]
This theme of “elevation” also concerns the initiate who is admitted to the higher mysteries, the “mystic raising”, the “going up to town” of the Lion (Leo) and the Unicorn (Capricorn). All refer to the defeat of the king of the beasts (the personality) and the triumph of the soul over matter.
It is a time for meditators around the planet to not only invoke the forces of the seventh ray during the peace and goodwill period of Christmas, but for groups to consciously invoke the Seventh Ray Avatar who works closely with the approaching Avatar of Synthesis. (More on this later.)
From another perspective, the NGWS is ruled by Taurus, which brings about “illumination and attainment of the vision” – via the “bull’s eye” or ajna centre. The goal of the NGWS is “providing a centre of light with the world … and … holding up the vision…”[11] The NGWS is the eye of Sanat Kumara.
Transiting Uranus has just entered Taurus for the first time in 84 years, and will aid this process of holding up the vision, bringing the seventh ray of Ceremonial Order into much deeper expression upon the physical plane. Uranus began its new cycle at the Taurus new moon in May 2018, and will span the next seven years until 2025. As the ruler of Aquarius, Uranus’s seven year cycle marks a nodal point or bridge between the ages of Pisces and Aquarius.
The seventh ray is the ray or organisation, of renovation, renewal and revolution. The year 1945 saw the beginning of a 2,500 year cycle of this ray. In December 2019, 77 years since 1942 (note the double 7), falls the next seven-year NGWS week. (There have only been two other full moons with the solstice in the NGWS festival week between 1945 and 2019, and they were in 1963 and 1977.)
The seventh ray is the ray of geometry; along with Saturn, it concerns the construction of the new geometrical blueprints upon the mental plane, and their precipitation onto the physical plane through meditation and magical group ritual. These new geometrical forms will replace the old outworn ones that served another age. With regard to the aspirants of the world, DK tells us that,
“The seventh ray … is regarded as the “Ray of Ritualistic Decency.” It aids and inaugurates the appearing of a new world order, based on a spiritual drive and on aspiration, mental freedom, loving understanding and a physical plane rhythm which provides opportunity for full creative expression[12] … This seventh ray sweeps into organised and directed activity the world of forces upon the outer sphere of manifestation, and produces the precipitation of Karma … [as well as] … The initiation of the aspirants of the world on to the Path of Accepted Discipleship.”[13]
Saturn also has a cycle of seven years, four of which complete its full circle. Hence, Saturn and Uranus cycles are closely linked, especially in the spiritual manifestation process, regarding the relationship between the sacral and throat centres.
The festival of the NGWS occurs every seven years beginning at the solstice in Saturn-ruled Capricorn. Saturn the Lord of Karma who, “forces man to face up to the past, and in the present to prepare for the future.” The number 7 resonates with the Uranus-ruled seventh ray of Ceremonial Order – which pours more potently through Capricorn than any other sign in this cycle.
The NGWS and the Avatar of Synthesis
With so much seventh ray activity, there is a greater opportunity to invoke the forces of the avatar of the seventh ray.
“Next century, when the seventh ray has achieved complete manifestation and the Piscean influence is entirely removed, the seventh ray Avatar will appear. His work will demonstrate the law, order and rhythm of the creative process as it works out on the physical plane, blending spirit and matter. And as this ray is called the Ray of Ceremonial Order or Ritual, He will be largely instrumental in producing those conditions which will permit of the reappearance upon Earth of the Mysteries of Initiation, of which the Hierarchy is the custodian.”[14]
Perhaps the Avatar of Synthesis may come first or close to the time of the Seventh Ray Avatar:
“The Spirit of Synthesis, working through the great first ray Avatar (the Avatar of Synthesis) is closer to the Earth than ever before … the tendency to integration can therefore be more easily fostered and a new synthesis attained … Before … integration and synthesis are possible, this first ray energy must work to destroy all that prevents integration and all that is hindering a needed synthesis. Human beings themselves must also destroy the prejudices, the animosities and the fixed ideas which have prevented synthesis, which have created cleavages and hindered right understanding.
The Avatar of Synthesis … is coming to the Earth in order to further the manifestation of unity, of oneness and of inter-relation … to wield and apply first ray energy. He will charge or galvanise the … New Group of World Servers—with dynamic energy … so that a new synthesis and alignment will be present upon the Earth.”[15]
