Libra New Moon and Mercury Retrograde
The new moon date of Oct.21 coincides with the start of the pre-shadow phase of Mercury retrograde, that will finish its post-shadow phase on Dec.17, 2025.
Libra is the sign of the Peacemaker and Mercury is the mediator/negotiator, hence this 8-week period will be an opportunity to negotiate peace settlements and the balance (Libra) of power (Scorpio) – in Russia-Ukraine, the Middle East, within nations – in all relationships!
Those negotiations could be tough and testy, given the position at the Libra new moon of Mercury, Mars and Black Moon Lilith closely conjunct in the Scorpion. A week later on Oct.29, Mercury enters Sagittarius – the sign of philosophy, religious and political ideologies – making a station on Nov.9, then heads back into Scorpio for an extended period – Nov.19 to Dec.11.

During that period, Mercury will pass back over its Libra new moon position conjunct Mars on Nov.29, simultaneously moving into its stationary period – to go into direct motion again.
Russia-Ukraine: War or Peace
This period will last from Nov.25 to Dec.5 – a 10 day period, the core of which will be a one-week period from Nov.26 to Dec.3. This is when transiting Mercury is not only sitting stationary upon its Libra new moon position of Oct.21, but also upon Russia’s Venus conjunct Pluto position in Scorpio.

Hence, this position in Russia’s horoscope will be activated from Oct.21, also triggering the natal square of Venus-Pluto in Scorpio to its Leo ascendant. Here is the deadly force of Pluto the Destroyer – activated by the Libra new moon and the transit of Mercury through Pluto-ruled Scorpio.
Russia is a proud Leo personality and the upshot of these activations (no pun intended!) is that if peace negotiations fail, Russia may well go (literally) ballistic.
This is because the Russian people are fed up with the aggressive grandstanding by Europe and its weapons supply to Ukraine, the flip-flopping of president Trump and supply/not supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine – and what they see as Putin’s “over-cautious” long, drawn-out approach.
Hence, Russia is all for the SMO (Special Military Operation) to go into fully declared war with Ukraine, forgoing any restraint of the past few years, attacking Ukraine with all its military might.

And Libran Putin may be politically forced into that corner. Putin’s solar return (SR) was on Oct.7, with Leo the leader rising – same as the Russian horoscope.

His 2025 solar return was right on the Libra full moon, hence the SR Moon is in aggressive Aries, stimulating the Hamlet dilemma – “to be or not to be” – to be a Western nation-pleaser or attack: To “suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune” (Libra) – or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them (Aries).”
Note in Putin’s SR chart, the position of Mercury in Scorpio square Pluto in Aquarius – this is a “take no prisoners” approach to negotiations, ruthless would be an understatement. Russian author Leo Tolstoy once wrote in his epic, War and Peace: “The strongest of all warriors are these two — Time and Patience.” Putin has certainly exercised the latter since 2022 – Libran restraint, but it appears that this may no longer be a strategy.
Inner wheel: Russia. Outer wheel: Ukraine.
Ukraine’s 1991 horoscope also has strong Leo positons: Jupiter, Venus and Mercury – all close to Russia’s Leo ascendant. Trump’s Mars and rising sign in Leo are also near Russia’s ascendant and the Ukraine positions, hence perhaps his dilemma between nations.

Libra and Money: Jupiter in Cancer – the Silver Boom
“That the note of the mineral kingdom is the basic note of substance itself, and it is largely the sounding of the note combinations, based on this key, which produces the great world cataclysms, wrought through volcanic action.
Every volcano is sounding forth this note, and, for those who can see, the sound and colour (occultly understood) of a volcano are a truly marvellous thing. Every gradation of that note is to be found in the mineral kingdom which is itself divided into three main kingdoms:

Libra’s themes are the law, sex and money. Money: That which is weighed in the scales after the harvest of Virgo; barter and exchange for items of value, including precious metals. Cancer and its ruler the moon, preside over the metal silver, just as Leo and its ruler the sun, rule gold that glitters! Throughout 2025 both metals have been steadily rising in value but silver is now skyrocketing at an unprecendented rate.
AI says: “Silver is currently climbing faster than gold, having surged over 78% this year compared to gold’s 53% increase. Silver’s surge is driven by industrial demand, particularly in solar energy and electronics.”
This reflects what many pundits have been saying for years, that silver is undervalued, given its’ widespread use in technology.
The current transit of Jupiter through Cancer mirrors this surge: Jupiter, the planet of plenty and prosperity – materially and spiritually, in the sign of its exaltation – promotes wealth, emotional security and nurturing.
Hence, the transit of Jupiter in Cancer can bring opportunities for financial growth, especially in real estate, childcare, and the food industry.
During the gradual rise of silver in the first few months of 2025, transiting Mars was passing through Cancer on its two-year cycle. Mars the planet of iron, that basic metal touched upon earlier, also ruler of Iron Age – the Kali Yuga.
Mars’ transit through Cancer no doubt stimulated silver’s surge, especially as Mars is one of planets used by brokers and financial astrologers. Mars governs action and risk-taking behavior, which can lead to aggressive trading or conflicts that create market downturns.

Mars then enterered Leo and a couple of months later in June, Jupiter entered Cancer, up to another silver plateau (platter?) that saw a 74% increase from the beginning of 2025.
Then on Oct. 9, silver exceeded US$50/oz for the first time ever. On that day, the Sun was in Libra and Jupiter was of course still in Cancer. The Moon was in Taurus, the sign of its exaltation – and hence the silver connection also with the sign Taurus.
Also, though Uranus was in Gemini, it is still completing its transit through Taurus that will end in April 2026. Uranus passing through Taurus 2018-2026 was predicted to cause a massive transformation in the financial system.
It is said that wearing silver helps stabilise the emotions, making it beneficial for those who may experience mood fluctuations (moon). The calming effects of silver are also said to boost creativity, aligning well with the artistic inclination of Venus-ruled Taurus.
Market pundits are currently in a frenzy, speculating that both gold and silver will continue to soar, with the occasional “market correction”. Other global factors are connected here, such as the US dollar and a plan to cancel USA’s $35 trillion debt through crypto gymnastics!

Gold is a physical asset often used as a store of value, while cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are digital currencies that can fluctuate widely in price; Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC’s) are digital forms of a country’s currency issued by the central bank, aiming to combine the benefits of digital transactions with the stability of government-backed money.”
The Role of Uranus in Taurus 2018-2025
Transiting Uranus has been in Gemini for a few months, but is now making its last retrograde movement back into Taurus until April 2026. And in typical fashion, Uranus is creating a major shake-up in the currency, crypto and precious metals markets. As stated earlier, Libra is a sign that is related to money, as is Taurus – both signs ruled by Venus.
Uranus is the esoteric ruler of Libra, hence its movement through Taurus has been profound regarding the transformation of entrenched monetary systems. But not necessarily with altruistic intent! The author’s article from 2018 (Uranus in Taurus: Revolution of the Monetary System) stated,
“As an earth element, Taurus rules the earth’s resources, their right use or exploitation, their trade and transaction (Libra). Hence Taurus rules money and gold, that energy or prana that is used to exchange goods. Taurus rules all metals, particularly the “precious metals” gold and silver.
Hence, when Uranus the revolutionary enters Taurus and stays there until 2025, we can expect to see radical changes in how money is used, plus long overdue financial reforms globally. Taurus is a sign of bucolic bliss that can render it prone to inertia, stubborness and fixity – hence Uranus is about to give the big bovine a shake-up.
There has been for far too long, an insidious control of planetary monetary resources, based upon corporate networks and cartels that have had only selfishness, greed, dishonesty and deception at their heart. This must change if Humanity is to move forward, to shake itself free from shackles that have imprisoned and controlled for centuries. Now is the time to ring in the changes.
Taurus in its money guise is well represented by the bronze statue of an aggressive bull outside the New York Stock Exchange. The recent “Fearless Girl” statue facing down the bull, is a potent symbol of the deeply feminine nature of Taurus challenging the aggressive aspect of the masculine bull. The stock market is of course a hyper-aggressive, male-dominated culture.”
Therefore, it appears that current events in the financial sector will continue unabated unti at least April 2026 – and dealing with the fall-out for a year or two after that. Will revolutionary Uranus bring radical change for the good of the public at large, or will humanty be subject to tighter control; financial enslavement and regimentation?
Vulcan, Esoteric Ruler of Taurus
Vulcan or Hephaestos, is the esoteric ruler of Taurus, in Greek mythology married to Venus – the exoteric ruler of Taurus. Vulcan is is the Divine Smithy, labouring at his anvil, fashioning swords of war for Mars (iron) or beautiful jewellery for his wife, made from precious metals and gems:

“Vulcan, the forger of metals, the one who works in the densest, most concrete expression of the natural world (from the human angle). He is the one who goes down into the depths to find the material upon which to expend his innate art and to fashion that which is beautiful and useful.
Vulcan is, therefore, that which stands for the soul, the individual, inner, spiritual man; in his activity we find the key to the soul’s task upon the eternal round of the wheel of life.

You will remember how Hercules upon the Fixed Cross had to fashion his own weapons before he succeeded in the struggle. This is in reality a reference to the art of Vulcan who rules the inner man and guides his fashioning.
…Vulcan also fashions instruments of war when war and conflict are the only means whereby liberation can come … Hence the great use of minerals (iron, copper, etc.) in WWII. It was literally a war in which the mineral kingdom is used against the human.3
And unfortunately this is still the case today, where more sophisticated technologies require rare earth metals, for which many nations compete in the manufacture of more advanced weaponry – tanks, ships, planes, missiles etc.
The Role of Planets in the Money Market
B. Netanyahu’s Solar Return: Road to Damascus
The Libra new moon falls on Benjamin Netanyahu’s birthday, with not only the Sun in its natal position, but also the moon – within 1 degree of his natal moon.
One would not think that this enigmatic character has several planets in Libra the Peacemaker, but that is a fact. As explained in other missives, the aggressive Aries polarity of Libra is more in evidence, whilst the Libra part is adept at keeping him in power: holding engagement/relationship with multiple political factions, using charm and flattery with world leaders.

There is a good argument for the Scorpio rising horoscope which the author has used for many years, as it “fits”. But the birth time is much disputed and Sagittarius is another viable contender for BN’s ascendant. Sagittarius is a sign of religion, philosophy and political ideology, it is a sign of the one-pointed archer who is often a fanatic in any field of human expression.

This is partly because the Mars-ruled 6th ray of Devotion amd Idealism finds its strongest expression through Sagittarius in this world cycle. Mars is the hierarchical ruler of Sagittarius and also rules the solar plexus centre, gateway to the astral body – hence the potential for intense emotional attachment to ideologies.
This is what drives Netanyahu, enmeshed and invested in a fanatical Zionist ideology, that does not blink at human suffering and cruelty. A long time ago he bought into the hijacking of Judaism to rationalise the Jewish homeland and “the right to defend ourselves”.
This is what might be termed the collective “glamour of the Jewish people”, Zionism being their shadow – just as ironically, Nazism was the shadow of the German people. These two sides of the same coin – Zionism and Nazism, are related to the first ray of Will or Power, the soul ray of the Jewish people and the personality ray of Germany.
Hence the intense interaction (and even collaboration) between those two groups in WWII. Essentially Zionism took over where Nazism left off, both ideologies part of the global Dweller on the Threshold.
And today this modern day Hitler continues his rampage in Gaza, after the superficial Libran peace agreement recently – which everyone knew was a sham and would fail, simply allowing time to regroup and hatch more devious plans.
Yet there is always hope for Netanyahu to have his “road to Damascus moment”, given the water grand trine in his solar return, with the potential to soften him emotionally: Jupiter in Cancer (especially), Mercury-Mars-Black Moon Lilith – in Scorpio, and Saturn in Pisces. The potential is there but this configuration might also amplify pre-existing fanaticism.

Road to Damascus, Saul of Tarsus and the Messiah
The road to Damascus is the famous story of “Saul who became Paul”, the one we know as Saint Paul today, who was blinded for three days when traveling to that Syrian city to arrest and imprison the new Christians – just a few years after the crucifixion of Jesus.
“Before his conversion, Saul of Tarsus was a Pharisee, deeply devoted to Jewish law and known for his extreme cruelty, actively persecuting early Christians and approving their executions.
He consented to the stoning to death of Stephen, the first Christian martyr, driven by a zealous belief that he was serving God by eradicating what he viewed as heresy among Jesus’ followers. His actions were driven by a fierce hatred for those he viewed as heretics, believing he was upholding the Jewish faith.
On his way to arrest Christians in Damascus, Saul saw a bright light and heard Christ speak, was blinded and later healed by Ananias. After these events, Saul was baptised and became Paul, beginning immediately to proclaim that Jesus of Nazareth was the Jewish messiah and the Son of God.”4
Saint Paul was a Scorpio and the parallel with Netanyahu as a persecutor of Muslims (and Christians) is obvious today. This is why Scorpio rising was a favoured chart for BN, and still might be the correct one. Scorpio is ruled exoterically and esoterically by 6th ray ruler Mars, linking powerfully to the following sign of Sagittarius.
“… St. Paul, that great initiate, prior to taking the third initiation which he did at the time he was functioning as related in The Acts of the Apostles, was potently under Martian influence and was born in Scorpio; a study of his horoscope would demonstrate this …
… It was he who gave the Scorpio-Mars slant to the interpretation and exposition of the Christian teaching and deflected its energy into channels of teaching which its Founder had never intended.”5
From the forgoing, it may be deduced that the road to Damascus saw Paul take the 2nd degree initiation and become a zealous proselytiser for Christ – who he recognised as the prophesied Jewish Messiah.
It is possible to take two or even three initiations in one lifetime and it is fairly evident that Paul later took the third initiation in the period mentioned above; some speculate even the exalted fourth degree, at his alleged death by beheading.
Even if Netanyahu has not yet reached this stage of spiritual opportunity, the similarities are undeniable. BN’s Road to Damascus has thus far been the acquisition of more territory in Syria for a “greater Israel”. The Road to Damascus is a metaphor for all Humanity, but especially for all Israelis and Jewish people – in recognising their Messiah, whose return is imminent in the next decade or so, maybe earlier than imagined.

“It may interest you to know that the Christ has not yet decided what type of physical vehicle He will employ should He take physical form and work definitely upon the physical plane. He waits to see what nation or group of nations do the most work, and the most convincing work, in preparation for His reappearance.
He will not, however, take a Jewish body as He did before, for the Jews have forfeited that privilege. The Messiah for Whom they wait will be one of Christ’s senior disciples, but it will not be, as originally intended, the Christ.
Symbolically, the Jews represent (from the point of view of the Hierarchy) that from which all Masters of the Wisdom and Lords of Compassion emerge: materialism, cruelty and a spiritual conservatism, so that today they live in Old Testament times and are under the domination of the separative, selfish, lower concrete mind.
But their opportunity will come again, and they may change all this when the fires of suffering at last succeed in purifying them and burning away their ancient crystallisation, thus liberating them to the extent that they can recognise their Messiah, Who will not, however, be the world Messiah.
The Jews need humility more than any other nation. By humility they may learn something of value as well as a needed sense of proportion. They are dear to the heart of the Christ for—in the performance of His greatest work—He chose a Jewish body, but their materialism and their repudiation of spiritual opportunity has negated His use of their racial type again.
It would provide too great a handicap. The probability is that the Master Jesus will assume (under instruction from the Christ) the part of the Messiah.”6
The last two years of the Gaza genocide’s emotional trauma has brought into focus the theme of Zionism, Israel and the Jewish people – creating an awareness of history and root causes.
This new awareness gives great hope for the future, as many Israeli’s, Jews, fanatical Christian Zionists and the general public at large, are starting to wake up to decades of brain-washing. The veil of imprisoning glamour is starting to fall away and reveal the truth.
Triangle of Masters
It is ironic that Paul now lives in the Middle East, in his role as the Master Hilarion, based upon the island of Crete. Hilarion is now the custodian or Chohan of the Venus-ruled fifth ray of Science or Knowledge.
Based nearby in southern Syria, lives the Chohan of the sixth ray (Idealism, Devotion) – Master Jesus; while further south in Luxor, Egypt – is based the Chohan of the fourth ray of Harmony through Conflict, the Master Serapis.
Together, these Chohans of the 4th, 5th and 6th rays live in a geographical triangle. Given their proximity, They must surely be observing unfolding events with intense interest. Many of us wish that they “should” or “must” intervene, but as always, They must honour the principle of Humanity’s free will in solving its problems.
This does not rule out however, if “push comes to shove”, of some divine intervention somewhere down the track, if Humanity – like an errant child, fails to resolve some of the main conflicts upon the planet as a whole. Below is an interesting map of the bases of our “three amigos” – for they are truly friends and guides of Humanity, Who can be invoked for guidance and wisdom.
Crete (Hilarion), Syria (Jesus), Egypt (Serapis).
“In the maps which are to be found in the Archives of the spiritual Hierarchy, the entire area of the Near East and Europe—Greece, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Palestine, the Arab States, Egypt and Russia—are under a heavy overshadowing cloud.
Can that cloud be dissipated by the right thinking and planning of Great Britain, the United States and the majority of the United Nations or—must it break in disaster over the world? Will it present a task too hard for correct handling by that inexperienced disciple—Humanity?”7
It is also notable that this same area is the location of a “dark overshadowing cloud”:
“… under a heavy overshadowing cloud …”.
This passage was written in the late 1940’s and is notably appropriate today, given Britain’s involvement with the Balfour agreement of 1917 that helped create Israel; plus the USA being heavily under the influence of the Zionists and current events. Overlaying these aforesaid regions is a global “triangle of evil”:

“These Forces of Evil work through a triangle of evil, one point of which is to be found in the Zionist Movement in the United States, another in central Europe, and the third in Palestine. Palestine is no longer a Holy Land and should not be so regarded.”8
Hence, the invocation of the triangle of the three Chohans in this region could arguably be a potent group meditation endeavour.
Libra Rules “No Man’s Land”: Palestinian Return to Gaza
“No, I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day

Libra governs the decision-making process that occurs through the balancing of the judicial mind. Libra governs this interim cuspal period between the ages of Pisces and Aquarius:
“… Libra rules the present interlude and might be regarded as “the master of no-man’s land,” as one of the Masters of the Wisdom called it lately.”9
“No man’s land” is a curious phrase, implying neither one nor the other, neither this nor that – and is why Libra governs the middle way, or the “narrow razor-edged path” of discipleship.
“No man’s land” was also a hellish place between warring battle lines, described by British poet Wilfred Owen who eventually perished in the trenches of World War I:
“No Man’s Land is pocket-marked like the body of foulest disease and its odour is the breath of cancer… No Man’s Land under snow is like the face of the moon, chaotic, crater-ridden, uninhabitable, awful, the abode of madness.
Hideous landscapes, vile noises … everything unnatural, broken, blastered; the distortion of the dead, whose unburiable bodies sit outside the dug-outs all day, all night, the most execrable sights on earth.”

It is also a perfectly accurate description of the Gaza moonscape and the global moral failure that created it. No Man’s Land is the wreckage of Gaza and the uncertainty of the Palestinians’ precarious plight.
(Written Oct. 12) Caught between a rock and a hard place, at the mercy of a cruel regime – with blatant Western complicity. When thousands have been arrested for simply protesting “man’s inhumanity to man” – you know that Western nations have wandered off-course, have lost contact with their soul purpose.
One of the greatest human tragedies of our modern era is still unfolding, through Western leaders “fiddling while Rome burns”. Does there still remain hope to salvage the situation? We have all witnessed these deeply moving photos of thousands of Palestinians returning to their homes – what homes? Piles of rubble, dust and devastation – a bleak no man’s land that still covers the bodies of thousands of lost family.

Yet giving them time to take a breath, have a decent meal and be illumined by their collective hope. To allow the children to laugh and play once again – to be human, for however brief a moment.
But what happens after the prisoner exchanges and the other phases of withdrawal from Gaza, in an extremely flawed peace plan – back to business as usual?
That would be a cruel and cynical outcome – another convenience for the West to manipulate a large, defenceless population in its pursuit of power, the cornering of resources and global hegemony.
Although nations have “recognised” the right for a “state of Palestine” or the “two state solution”, the sad facts are that none of these things will happen. It was just a token guilt-ridden gesture, with no real substance behind it. Legendary Israeli journalist – Gideon Levy, sums it up in the following interview (12′):

1. US and Israeli plans to develop Gaza into a hideous “riviera” – a “real estate bonanza”.
2. The outright refusal of Israel to consider a two-state solution.
3. The appalling apathy and elitist entitlement of the majority of Israeli’s.
4. Armed Israeli settlers intimidating, bullying, murdering and stealing land from Palestinians, while police and military look on. It appears the settler mentality is identical to the IDF.
5. Israel’s resumption of the bombing of southern Lebanon.
6. Israel orders Rafah border crossing closed “until further notice”, depending on Hamas returning remains of 28 dead hostages. Ignore the irony of 1000’s of dead Palestinians still buried under rubble!
7. The stranglehold of Zionist lobbies like AIPAC – in the USA, Britain, Europe and Australia.
8. Since cease-fire broken: 38 Palestinians killed. 143 injuries. One incident – Israeli military killed 11 members of one family.
“This is what is emerging. Hamas is going after the Israeli-backed gangs in Rafah, which the IOF are now trying to protect. But Hamas is fighting back and the Israeli forces are caught in the crossfire. This will be used as ‘justification’ for resuming the genocide. Hamas is not killing ‘innocent Palestinians’ – there are scores to settle with the gangs and clans who have been doing the bidding of the Israeli’s in Gaza.
The next step by Washington is to try to insert and international peacekeeping (new occupation) force into Gaza. That is why Vance is going to Israel on Monday (Oct.20.)” (A student of the ageless wisdom.)
Yet, these power structures are faltering or failing, the world has woken up to the many myths perpetrated by Zionism about Israel.
May the light of Libra the Peacemaker hold fast over no-man’s-land.
May Humanity “choose the way that leads between the two great lines of force”.

If the asc. is Scorpio, it’s not a very lofty one — or smart. I find that holding cards close to the chest proves in the long run to be a much shrewder chess strategy; Sag. certainly can loudly announce its intent without so much as a second thought, and Netty’s strategy is more “damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead” obvious to the entire world. I am reminded more of how Putin tends to operate when it comes to Libra/Scorpio energies. Curious, indeed.
