The balsamic or waning crescent lunar phase is always 3-4 days before the new moon. This month, starting around March 14-15, preceding the Pisces new moon on March 19 – and Aries equinox on March 20. This phase of diminishing light can be utilised for quiet rest, reflection and releasing. Solitude, withdrawal within, setting the stage for renewal at the new moon.
The period toward the end of the balsamic phase (17-19), can have devitalising and depressing effects due to world glamour, affecting meditation work – even into the first couple of days after the new moon (19-21). Something to bear in mind with the one’s inner practice.
“The term “balsamic” originates from the word “balsam,” which refers to healing substances derived from plants. This connection highlights the restorative qualities associated with this lunar phase.” March 19 will be an extraordinary new moon which will activate the solar eclipse of Sept. 21, 2025 – as described below.
Pisces New Moon and Aries Equinox
The new moon in Pisces falls on March 19 and on March 20 – the Sun moves into Aries, signalling the annual equinox. Hence this powerful two-day period is a focussed point of endings and beginnings. Not just for the spiritual year from Aries to Pisces – but on the larger cycle of the Piscean Age drawing to a close – and the next Aquarian cycle gaining greater traction in the consciousness of humanity.
Though technically and astronomically Aquarius does not begin until 2,117 AD, the 500-year cuspal overlap between the ages sees a minority oriented toward Aquarius, a majority still immersed in the old cycle of Pisces, while another intermediate group stands somewhere in between.
And in the ending of the age, here are the “end times” – graphically portrayed in religious fundamentalism. (As discussed in the Pisces full moon newsletter, The Spectre of Religious Fanaticism: End of the Age of Pisces and the Sixth Ray Cycle.)
The most obvious example is the current war with Iran, which is not really a religious war, though the US administration and Israel might be trying to inflate it as such. In his inner circle, President Trump is surrounded by hardline Jewish and Christian Zionists, hence having no real education in history or politics, he is beholden to their viewpoints, reinforced on a daily basis. (Plus the fact that he has been “bought and paid for” by Zionist interests for decades.)
Here is a very small but powerful group driven by Jewish Chabad philosophy, who are attempting to create a “Greater Israel” through an illegal and non-congress approved aggression upon Iran – a majority Shi’a Muslim nation that holds a strategic position between the Middle East and Europe.
Both Sunni and Shia communities can have varying degrees of strictness depending on cultural and political contexts. US-affiliated Saudi Arabia is mainly Sunni Muslim, the largest branch of Islam that tends toward a more hardline exercise of Sharia law:
“Saudi Arabia has seen a significant increase in executions, with a record 356 people executed in 2025, primarily for non-lethal drug offenses, plus “sorcery” and “witchcraft”. The country employs beheading as the main method of execution.”1
All three religions are driven by the sixth ray of devotion and idealism – ruled by mystical Neptune and aggressive Mars. The following passage is essential in understanding some of the core traits of the sixth ray of Devotion and Idealism, a ray that passes through Pisces and which has characterised the Piscean Age. (For students of astrology, the seven rays are the missing pieces of the zodiac puzzle.):
“Virtues to be acquired: Strength, self-sacrifice, purity, truth, tolerance, serenity, balance and common sense. This is called the ray of devotion. The [wo]man who is on this ray is full of religious instincts and impulses, and of intense personal feeling; nothing is taken equably.
Everything, in his eyes, is either perfect or intolerable; his friends are angels, his enemies are very much the reverse; his view, in both cases, is formed not on the intrinsic merits of either class, but on the way the persons appeal to him, or on the sympathy or lack of sympathy which they shew to his favourite idols, whether these be concrete or abstract, for he is full of devotion, it may be to a person, or it may be to a cause.
He must always have a “personal God,” an incarnation of Deity to adore. The best type of this ray makes the saint, the worst type, the bigot or fanatic, the typical martyr or the typical inquisitor. All religious wars or crusades have originated from sixth ray fanaticism. The man on this ray is often of gentle nature, but he can always flame into fury and fiery wrath. He will lay down his life for the objects of his devotion or reverence, but he will not lift a finger to help those outside of his immediate sympathies.
As a soldier, he hates fighting but often when roused in battle fights like one possessed. He is never a great statesman nor a good business man, but he may be a great preacher or orator.”2
Although this is “not supposed” to be a religious war which “would be the end of humanity”, the three Abrahamic religions are nevertheless facing off against one another. The two oldest – Judaism and Christianity are headed by fanatical minorities and do not represent the majority of followers globally.
The younger Islam has its share of fanatical devotees which matches the older religions and Irans’s old and current regime has been accused of cruel and repressive actions over the decades. One certain factor in this current WWIII scenario is that Iran – under a barrage of attacks, “when roused in battle will fight like one possessed”. And its extraordinary response has inflicted widespread damage on Israel and various Arab nations that hosted US bases. Due to news censorship but now more pictures coming through, the damage to Tel Aviv and Israel is appalling.

The Crusades: Hegseth and Khameinei
The Crusades was a period during the Age of Pisces where the three Abrahamic religions were brought together, “ …. in a series of military campaigns launched by the papacy between 1095 and 1291 against Muslim rulers for the recovery and defence of the Holy Land, encouraged by promises of spiritual reward … a call to arms for Christians to reconquer Jerusalem from the Muslims.”3
Saladin
This was the time of the Knights Templar who lost Jerusalem and much of the crusader kingdom to the great commander and pious Muslim – Saladin.
It appears that Pete Hegseth – the Secretary of Defense, imagines himself to be a knight templar, with the Jerusalem cross indelibly stamped upon his chest. Hegseth is the archetypal Sagittarian religious fanatic, a sign where the 6th ray of devotion and idealism passes more potently than any other sign. Hegseth also has Neptune rising in Sagittarius, the co-ruler of the 6th ray, further amplifying his idealism.
Islam is of course ruled by the 6th ray and the newly appointed spiritual leader Mojtaba Khameinei, has 6th ray co-ruler Mars, in Sagittarius – just one degree from Hegseth’s Neptune, ideologically opposite brothers!
Pete Hegseth
Hegseth (Princeton educated and served in Iraq) stated,
“The hour is late for America. Beyond political success, her fate relies on exorcising the leftist specter dominating education, religion, and culture – a 360-degree holy war for the righteous cause of human freedom.”4
Hegseth has the Sun in Gemini (like Trump) – the most potent of signs for telling lies, further compounded by his Sun opposite deceptive Neptune. Hegseth has been doggedly sticking to the US’s ying narrative about Iran and constantly sprouts aggressive and threatening rhetoric.
Mojtaba Khameinei
Mojtaba Khameinei, son of recently assassinated Al Khameinei, also served in the Iraq war and is a theological teacher, and as a “radical cleric” is regarded as more hardline than his father. His scholarship is reflected by his studious Sun in Virgo which squares Mars in Sagittarius, Mars’ position probably the most fanatical combination in the zodiac.
A big challenge for restraint (for which Virgo’s are capable), especially because he was present (and injured) at the assassination of his father – losing his wife, one of his children and one sister. He has sworn revenge for their deaths and we are yet to see the results of decisions made in his new role.
Observers say he was very powerful behind the scenes during his father’s reign, being responsible for manipulating presidential elections and widely regarded as one of the architects of Iran’s crackdowns on dissent, especially during the 2009 protests.
He also, “shaped foreign and military strategy, reportedly running a network to fund IRGC operations abroad and accumulating vast overseas wealth despite sanctions. His behind-the-scenes control over security, political decisions, and financial channels made him a central figure in Iran’s power structure long before becoming Supreme Leader.”5 (According to the often misleading or biased Wikipedia.)
Hegseth appears to be totally unrestrained, a dangerous ideologue who serves as an attack dog for his Zionist masters:
Wrote a book literally called ‘American Crusade’ — calling for a modern-day holy war against Muslims. Wrote that Islam ‘is not a religion of peace, and it never has been.’ Was reported to have repeatedly chanted ‘Kill All Muslims!’ while drunk at a veterans’ event in 2015.- Has a tattoo of the Jerusalem Cross on his chest — a symbol of the Crusades, when European armies invaded the Middle East to conquer Jerusalem from Muslims
- Has ‘Deus Vult’ tattooed on his arm — ‘God Wills It’ — the battle cry of the First Crusade in 1095. Just got a new tattoo reading ‘كافر’ (Kafir) in Arabic — a deliberate provocation against 2 billion Muslims, from the man commanding the most powerful military on earth
- Said in Jerusalem in 2018: ‘There’s no reason why the miracle of re-establishing the Temple on the Temple Mount isn’t possible’ — a direct call for the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque. [This is something that might soon be enacted.]
- Accidentally hit a bystander with an axe during a live segment on “Fox & Friends” while participating in an axe-throwing contest.
- Several allegations of sexual misconduct.
This man is not fighting ‘extremism.’ He IS the extremism. His entire worldview is a religious war against Islam. He says it. He writes it. He tattoos it on his body. And now he’s commanding the largest military operation in the Middle East since Iraq.”
Interesting to note that Hegeth’s moon is in late Pisces, opposite the Sept.21, 2025 solar eclipse, that will be activated when the March 19 new moon falls precisely on his moon.
Although the Moon in Pisces can be deeply empathetic, its position here can magnify many of the negative stereotypes of the 6th ray and its ruler Neptune – which his moon widely squares.
The transits of Saturn and Neptune have also been activating Hegseth’s moon position for the last year or so. In late Pisces, the moon might be considered a close cusp to Aries – the proverbial god of war. Which leads us to the Mars-ruled Aries equinox …
Aries Equinox
On March 20, the sun moves into Aries and the spiritual new year begins. (As distinct from new year’s day in Capricorn.) The equinox ingress horoscope has the Sun closely conjunct Neptune in early Aries, its position on Feb.28 when the invasion of Iran began.

Although the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries has positive attributes related to the manifestation of pioneering and visionary ideals, it can also exacerbate the aggressive nature of Aries. Neptune 6th ray co-ruler in a Mars-ruled sign.
This is further strengthened by the fact that Mars is still in Pisces. In an earlier missive it was suggested that Mars’ movement in Pisces might bring a softening of aggression, but in fact Mars rather enjoys its position in Pisces, a conduit for the 6th ray.
Furthermore, Iran is heading towards it two-year Mars return around April 3. Iran has Mars and Mercury in Pisces, Mercury less than 2° from Hegseth’s Moon in Pisces. Transiting Mars will go over his moon position by April 8, before it enters its own sign Aries.

Hence, with the combination of all these factors, it is likely that Hegseth will find himself in a very challenging position and the conflict will continue unabated, depending upon munitions. Which Iran states it has for the next six months, while Israel-USA is reportedly scrambling to replenish its depleted stock. Even the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is reportedly limping out of the Persian Gulf, reports rejected by the US Admin.
The New Year in Light of the Aries Equinox
With the Sun in Aries opposite Earth in Libra, the equinox always carries the theme of war and peace respectively. Aries is about bold new beginnings, yet being so close to the March 19 new moon in Pisces, it carries some baggage into the new cycle. Indeed, the equinox horoscope (set arbitrarily for GMT), holds Mercury, node and Mars in Pisces.
The position of Mars is a key element here because its typical martial assertion is “watered-down”, having quite a Libran, diplomatic effect. Mars, the ruler of the sixth ray of Devotion and Idealism, in Pisces, a major conduit of this ray – much emphasised in this newsletter. Then there is Neptune, the other co-ruler of the 6th ray, closely conjunct the Aries sun.
Neptune as ruler of the Pacific Ocean, in its higher expression can have quite a pacific/pacifying effect. At its best, the combination of the positions of Mars and Neptune could cause a backing-down or withdrawal from US-Israel aggression. At its worst, both 6th ray rulers could vastly inflate the religious fanaticism of evangelical-Zionist Christians versus hardline Islamic jihad groups, not necessarily Iranians.
In mundane analyses like this, a factor to consider with Neptune is its lowest common denominator: Attributes such as deception, the cultivation of glamour and confusion, the blurring of boundaries between the real and the unreal (AI), susceptibility to manipulation, escapism, addiction, naivety, passivity, apathy etc. The “fog of war” is a very apt Neptunian description for what is happening now because of media bans and competing propagandas, no one really knows what is going on!
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”
Hence, this situation may continue throughout 2026 – though, as touched upon in other missives, Neptune’s transit through Aries (the ram or “lamb of god”) for the next 13 years may give Humanity a “preview” – sooner rather than later, of the Christ’s imminent return. This would be ironic, given the tense anticipation by Abrahamic religions of the return of their Messiah, Imam Mahdi or Lord Maitreya:
“Neptune is known esoterically as the Initiator. In certain ancient formulas, the great Teacher of the West and the present world Initiator, Christ, is spoken of as Neptune, Who rules the ocean, whose trident and astrological symbol signifies the Trinity in manifestation and Who is the ruler of the Piscean Age.”6
What are we to make of the Piscean avatar’s words: “I came not to bring peace, but a sword”?
“The sword of the spirit is wielded by the Hierarchy, and by its means cosmic evil is arrested; the sword of discrimination is wielded by the initiates and the disciples of the world, and by its means the distinction between good and evil, with a consequent presentation of free choice between the two, has been laid before humanity, and the lines of demarcation have been made abundantly clear in this world war [II].
It had been the hope of the Christ and the longing of all the Masters that men would see clearly and make free and right choice, so that—without physical plane warfare—they would bring about the needed changes and the ending of wrong conditions. But the conflict descended on to the physical plane and the sword of material war (symbolically speaking) was taken up by humanity.”7
Once again, as Humanity finds itself on the precipice of a possible WWIII, there is point of “distinction between good and evil” and making “free and right choice”.
Iran Invasion Horoscope
In determining the outcome of this conflict, there may be some clues in the invasion horoscope for Feb.28, showing several remarkable patterns:
Israel Begins Attack on Iran. Chart set for Tel Aviv, though set for Tehran is about 18° Taurus rising, with Uranus still “rising” in the first house.
1. Taurus rising at the same degree as Israel’s sun, activating its square to Israel’s “problematic” Mars in Leo.
2. Uranus is also “rising” in Taurus, square to Mars in Aquarius, which activated the Feb.17 solar eclipse in late Aquarius. Eclipse Mars in Aquarius is opposite – not only Israel’s Mars in Leo, but also Trumpanyahu’s Mars’ positions.
Tehran
Uranus conjunct ascendant, represents the sudden attack that took place in the middle of peace negotiations with Tehran, following the same modus operandi as the first attack in 2025. How can one country trust another when such deceptive actions constantly take place? No wonder Iran is adamant that the war will now finish on its own terms – no more negotiations, trust has “flown the coop”! (USA is also a Gemini personality.)
3. Pluto conjunct midheaven – planet of power and destruction, dominates the horoscope. The Moon in late Cancer opposes Pluto.
4. The Moon’s position in Cancer also suggests emotionally based decisions and the theme of territory and resources. The Moon in late Cancer moving into Leo, suggests an over-confidence and “divine right of kings” – rather than pause for thought and planning.
The ill-conceived and chaotic nature of the US-Israel attack may not succeed in the long run, especially when other powerful players of Russia and China are actively supporting Iran with intelligence and munitions. But the signs are that unless US-Israel backs down, it will be a drawn-out war that Iran is committed to, however long it takes.

A Hard Rain is Falling on Israel
As the new moon approaches on March 19 at 29° Pisces, it is timely to reflect on the 29° Virgo solar eclipse on Sept. 21, 2025. In eclipse cycles, one eclipse or lunar phase can activate another – particularly so with these two new moons – six months apart. In the Virgo newsletter for 2025 it was stated:
“This solar eclipse will have a profound effect upon Virgo nations … and the soul of the Jewish people … in the last anaretic “degree of fate”, signifying the culmination of a cycle, associated with karmic completion, inevitability and finality; a period of intense pressure, crisis … The Sun-Moon is in the last degree of Virgo, opposite Saturn – which is almost in the last degree of Pisces …. This is Saturn’s last visit to Pisces for the next 30 years and “wraps up” the last 30 year cycle of Saturn.

Saturn in Pisces is opposite the eclipse Sun-Moon in Virgo. Saturn, Lord of Karma, holds us all to account and from which no nation is exempt. This will be a time for serious reflection and decision-making … Saturn in Pisces – ruler of the Jewish people’s Capricorn personality – opposing the solar eclipse, represents a karmic reckoning for the Jewish people – via Israel … if it attacks Iran, the response will be devastating.
… Saturn in Pisces will be exacting some tough initiatory tests for the Jewish people as a whole – and for Israel, driven by fanatical leader Netanyahu – and supported unconditionally by the USA. Saturn in water sign Pisces may well be the “hard rain that’s gonna fall”, in the form of a long overdue monsoon.”
And in past weeks (mid-March) the world has witnessed the hard rain of Iranian missiles pouring down on Israel – in probably the most ill-conceived and reckless military aggression in US history, on behalf of pariah state Israel.
There has been heavy censorship of the damage in Israel and also of casualties, but now far more footage and details are leaking out. Iran itself has suffered extensive damage and loss of life – as has southern Lebanon and various Arab nations.
But Iran’s tactical response (planned for the last 20 years), has shocked US-Israel’s underestimation of Iran. And US casualties are very high, not 6, but more like a 1,000 or more according to some sources. And many pundits are saying that the US Admin is lying to the American people.
Its hard to say where the world will be by the March 19 new moon (at the end of Ramadan) – with fuel and food prices rising, nuclear threats, misinformation and propaganda, economic collapse – and general fear and trepidation whipped up by various media.
With the Sun, Mercury and Mars currently passing through emotionally sensitive Pisces, the fear factor is easily amplified – hence the obvious need to cultivate calm, meditation, co-operation and community support. On the nuclear issue, with protagonists becoming more desperate – two points:
1. Some sources say that Russia is closely monitoring the situation, ready to prevent any attempted nuclear launch. China is also working behind the scenes giving intelligence support for Iran.
2. As regularly stated in the past few years’ newsletters,
“When WWII was over, the forces of darkness were pushed back but they were not crushed. And ever since then there has been the possibility of a third world war that would end the whole human experiment …
… in 1954, it was established subjectively and in reality that there will be no third world war … 1954 was a great year, a very spiritual significant year.”8
Some may dispute the veracity of this statement, but there it is and here we are. If it is true, then obviously it does not mean that lightworkers can be complacent. Yet there are deeper implications – it means that a major decision was taken by the Hierarchy around 1954 that would prevent Humanity from wiping itself out. Let us hope Humanity can step up and effect that outcome by itself!

Pisces, World Glamour and Propaganda
This is a recurring theme that bears repeating within the context of current global conflicts. As a water sign, Pisces has a great emotional sensitivity connected to compassion and forgiveness.
Neptune in Aries
As personality ruler of Pisces, Lord of the Oceans Neptune appropriately rules the solar plexus centre, gateway to the astral body. Consider the fact that the bulk of Humanity is said to be still astrally polarised – estimated at around 75%. Hence prone to glamour or “illusion on the astral plane”.
As with all signs, rays and planets, Neptune has a lower and higher expression. At it highest, Neptune is connected to positive spiritual idealism and aspiration, intuition or buddhi, visionary art-music and the creative imagination.
Its lower expression is in mass consciousness, addiction, illusion, distortion of ideas, paranoia, unwholesome fantasy etc. Hence, it is not difficult to see how lower Neptune is invoked through manipulation of the masses – by those with a more developed and detached mentality, but who lack the development of compassion, resulting in exploitative practices.
Now with Neptune’s position in Mars-ruled Aries, these two rulers of the sixth ray of Devotion and Idealism are invoking this ray’s shadow of fanaticism and tunnel vision in all religious groups.
As Neptune rules over visual media, propaganda can be easily fed to the masses through carefully curated movies, documentaries, global news channels, internet videos and television. Indeed, the Neptunian flood of all these factors over recent decades – might be termed WMD’s – weapons of mass distraction.
Especially with the new mantram on everyone’s lips, “Is it real or AI?” And those who instigated the current global crisis are taking full advantage. Hence, mainstream media is mostly feeding a distorted narrative with an added new mantram to justify the attack on Iran: “Short term pain, long term gain”. (Words have power.)
Even in alternative media, one has to tread very carefully in sorting the wheat from the chaff – to use a Pisces-polarity Virgo term. There is now so much “AI slop” on social media – with spurious click-bait stories that appear legitimate, offered by some never-heard-of-before platform trying to make money.
All these factors have resulted in a dumbing down of the population, decreasing critical thinking and created dopamine-scrolling addiction. Particularly noticeable since around 2015 and 11 years later it continues – especially now during Mercury retrograde in Pisces.
The Iran conflict is heavily censored on the Israel-USA side – in terms of damage, deaths and casualties. Which of course allows a non-disclosure of war strategies, but also lets the powers-that-be to spin false and misleading stories, working the grey zone of “plausible deniability”.
In terms of deception, Pisces shares similar traits with another water sign Scorpio, whose keynote on the “ordinary wheel” is, “Let maya flourish and deception rule.” Pluto – lord of the underworld, is the exoteric ruler of Scorpio and esoteric ruler of Pisces. In its lower expression Pluto is about subterfuge, “subterranean powers”, creating chaos through obsessive desire for power, destructiveness, control and secrecy.
Pluto’s current position in Aquarius allows many of these expressions to work through technology and “scientism” as a vehicle for both lower Neptune and Pluto. Suffice to say, vigilance is required in these perilous times of the Kali Yuga.
Iranians and the Regime
Most of us in the West do not get accurate information about what is going on in Iran, how it applies its religious beliefs, its culture, history etc. Everyone is subject to one form of propaganda or another, even those of us who avoid the mainstream narrative and stick with independent media.
It appears that there is a majority of the USA and the global population who are against the illegal, unconstitutional, non-congress approved actions of the USA. USA’s 6th ray personality glamour of interference – on Israel’s behalf, is yet again barging in on a sovereign nation, following soon after the last few years or ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
But ironically, according to some polls and Iranians themselves – a majority of Iranians disapprove of the regime, welcoming the interference of USA-Israel. Yet, the Israel-driven and controlled US Admin is not interested in Iran’s wellbeing, only a Greater Israel, power and more resources.

For an obvious example – oil, as fanatical Lindsey Graham recently ejaculated 9 in this short video: “We’re gonna make a ton of money”.
Iranians against the regime might want to ask themselves, which master or “lesser evil”do they want to serve? If Israel, then more than likely they will be marginalised or genocided like the Palestinians.
This has been already previewed in recent weeks – with US and Israel carpet-bombing Tehran residential suburbs, creating poisonous “black rain” environmental problems – via destruction of oil refineries. (Across Iran – 24,000 residential buildings – mainly apartment blocks, 4,511 business units, 69 schools – destroyed.)

Since then, Trump made more remarks threatening further strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island oil refinery, ‘just for fun’:
“[March 15, 2026] “Meanwhile the mood among some anti-regime Iranians has turned on Trump, shifting from hope of being rescued to dismay at the destruction of infrastructure, culture and lives.”10
A typical criticism of so-called “uninformed Westerners” which the author recently received on social media (somewhat abusively), runs thus:
“What we Iranians have experienced in the last 47 years of The Islamic regime up to now, just a short glimpse but you never understand it because you have not lived it. People like you stand with the murderer regimes and dictators, not with the true victims of this regime or any other. You are following and listening to the regime supporters.
It’s a shame! Iranian fighters and people like me get our strength from all those who were unjustly murdered by the the demonic regime occupying Iran. We follow and echo their voice until this regime is gone. I’m very sorry and hope one day you understand our pain and suffering and not stand with the darkness.” (Atousa)
When conducting an assisted AI search asking the question: “What are the main issues Iranians have against their regime, and what percentage of the population would that be? Answer,
“Iranians primarily oppose their regime due to dissatisfaction with political repression, economic instability, and systemic discrimination against women and minorities. Surveys indicate that around 81% of Iranians do not want the Islamic Republic to remain in power, reflecting widespread discontent with the current government.”11
Many diverse people in Iran, a nation of 93 million covering a huge area.
“Main Issues Against the Iranian Regime
Opposition to the Islamic Republic: Approximately 81%, do not support it.
Desire for Change: Around 40% believe that regime change is necessary for reform, while 24% favor a structural transition away from the current system.
Inflation and Unemployment: 81.9% citing inflation and 47.9% pointing to unemployment as critical problems.
General Dissatisfaction: 92% of Iranians are dissatisfied with the current state of affairs.
Suppression of Freedoms: Many Iranians express frustration over the lack of freedom of expression, assembly, and the systemic discrimination faced by women and minorities.
Violent Crackdown on Protests: The regime’s violent response to protests has led to thousands of deaths and detentions, further fueling public discontent.
High Support for Protests: Approximately 80% of the population supports ongoing protests against the regime, with many believing these demonstrations will succeed.”
Yet, there are other propaganda factors that compound the problem of reports like this. For instance, an allegedly biased polling organisation that the report above draws upon:
“The Group for Analyzing and Measuring Attitudes in Iran (GAMAAN), an influential Dutch polling group cited by the New York Times, U.S. State Department and U.K. government, claims to capture the true views of everyday Iranians through unconventional online surveys. [These three underlined entities should immediately raise some red flags for discerning readers.]
GAMAAN calls itself an “independent” research foundation, a label echoed by news outlets and think tanks covering the group’s headline-grabbing findings, which portray the Iranian public as far more secular and anti-government than data from organizations such as Gallup and Pew Research suggest.
But GAMAAN’s extensive links to U.S.-funded organizations, many of which advocate for regime change in Iran, and its flawed methodology, have raised serious questions about its credibility and impact on Western understanding of Iran.
“They know what they think, and they want to use the language of social science to demonstrate that those claims are actually truth. And of course, that’s a problem,” said Daniel Tavana, an assistant professor of political science at Penn State who was a principal investigator for Princeton’s Iran Social Survey.”12
“[T]hey’re just ideological,” Tavana said. They are very opposed to the regime, want to embarrass the regime in whatever way they can, and are happy to say … whatever they think will most effectively do that in any given point of time, regardless of whether or not they have evidence for it.”
Another propaganda factor is that Israel’s Mossad have been surreptitiously working within Iran, stirring up trouble by magnifying existing protests and pitting various groups against each other, further clouding perception of Iranians and those on the outside looking in.
This is well documented in many places, of which this article is one example: How Iran fell from within: The “invisible” traitor and the decisive role of Mossad. Thirty years ago, the “hawks” of the Israeli Intelligence Service began infiltrating the state of the Mullahs with extremely careful moves and recruiting dissidents who would be activated at the right moment.”
Taking all of the above into account, to use a good glamour metaphor – it can be seen how the waters have been extremely muddied! The reader may be reminded of the earlier article in this missive, “Pisces, World Glamour and Propaganda”.
Furthermore, with contrary views to the persistent propaganda narrative, independent journalists such as Max Blumenthal (The Grayzone), “have consistently defended the Iranian regime arguing that the U.S. and Israel are driving a war agenda against Iran, often using fabricated intelligence—such as claims about assassination plots—to justify military action.
He challenges mainstream narratives by claiming that unrest in Iran is “astroturfed” by Mossad and the CIA, and he accuses Western media of amplifying regime-change propaganda while ignoring Iranian sovereignty. In his documentary, Uncaptured: Jews in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Blumenthal presents a view of religious tolerance in Iran, which critics condemn as regime-sanctioned propaganda that ignores systemic repression and the persecution of minorities, including the execution of Jewish citizens like Arvin Ghahremani.
Blumenthal maintains that Iran’s actions are defensive, and that the real threat comes from U.S.-Israeli militarism pushing for a catastrophic conflict. He positions Iran as a victim of imperial overreach, not a regional aggressor.”
For some readers this might be “boring politics” – but illustrates how difficult it is to get accurate information, even when going down many rabbit-holes reviewing various viewpoints. It is hoped that any Iranians reading this will appreciate the media predicament for those who watch from afar. Unless we have visited or lived there, alternative news we seek is all there is to go on. Hence, in the spirit of sharing some other perspectives, first – a letter from the Aquarius new moon newsletter 2026:
“Yorgos says: Dear Phillip, the Iranian government itself has admitted a huge number of casualties. Various organizations differ in the exact number, ranging from 5,000 to more than 50,000. From sources I have inside Iran, I know that the situation was unbelievable: Dead everywhere, people being shot inside the hospitals they went for treatment, dead being carried by trucks.
I have traveled many times to Iran, and I have not met a people more against their government. I am sure more than 85% of the population is against the regime. I have family in Iran, since my wife is Iranian, and my sources are directly from inside Iran. Of course I cannot say details for security reasons.
The Iranian people have had it, they want a secular republic and the overthrow of a regime that is using religion for control and is very cruel. Of course we all know the crimes of the Israeli government, but believe me the crimes of the Iranian one are similar, and possibly worse.”
Another view of how the Iran regime affects those who live in Lebanon, from an ageless wisdom student:
“Lebanon has lived through decades of political assassinations during periods of heavy Syrian dominance and the rise of Hezbollah as a parallel armed power. The assassination of figures like Rafic Hariri and others marked a traumatic era for this country. These events happened in a context where regional influence — including from Iran and Syria — was deeply embedded in Lebanese politics.
That history shaped how many Lebanese view external power structures today. When I speak critically about Iran’s role, I am not attacking Iranian people. We have Iranian friends who themselves criticize their government and question how state resources have been used regionally. The people are not the regime.
What concerns many Lebanese is the ideological and strategic framework behind Tehran’s regional policy, particularly the doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih under Ali Khamenei ; and how that model has influenced armed actors inside Lebanon.
Lebanon is a pluralistic state with a delicate constitutional balance. Any system that places transnational ideological authority above national institutions destabilizes that balance.
This isn’t about taking sides between the US, Israel, or Iran. It’s about sovereignty. We live in a country where military infrastructure exists outside full state control. We have repeatedly paid the price of regional escalations. We have endured economic collapse, sanctions fallout, political paralysis, and cycles of violence.
The media often simplifies this into a geopolitical debate. But from inside Lebanon, it feels very different. It feels like a small country repeatedly pulled into larger agendas. You may see this as abstract politics.
For us, it has been lived reality for years, as it is for many Persians too. There is a lot of insights that we could give, lived insights, daily reality and challenges, from all over Lebanon.” (Rima)
Finally, one activist interview – Elika Ashoori, the daughter of Anoosheh Ashoori, a British-Iranian businessman who was detained in Iran on allegations of spying for Israel’s Mossad. Critics have said that both Elika and her father are Mossad assets. Again, who do you believe, or indeed, the above Iranian testimonies?
Iranians justifiably complain about censorship, yet limitations on free speech are similar in USA, Australia, Britain, China and Israel – to name a few. People have been jailed for making peaceful protests about the slaughter in Gaza, or wearing T-shirts with slogans.
Similarly, the recent heavy-handed tactics of ICE agents in Minnesota, front-door arrests of people for posting material on Facebook which runs counter to the state narrative – in Britain particularly. In the current conflict Israel has banned video of the extensive damage and deaths Iran has inflicted, threatening five years jail. Mainstream media, in subservience to Zionist policy, so far only shows damage and death inflicted upon Iran or the Arab states.
And the powers that be seek even greater control globally, by introducing the slavery of digital currency, one of the many battles within this greater war. There is the global Dweller on the Threshold, whose nefarious tentacles penetrate every nation without exception!

Venus Enters Aries (March 6-30)
In Esoteric Astrology, Venus is regarded as the mind, hence its esoteric rulership over intellectual Gemini, bringing together the pairs of opposites upon the mental plane, creating harmony and beauty. This accomplishment filters down to the astral plane – as Venus the goddess of love, sex, relationships and art.
Exoterically, Venus in Aries can be demanding and self-centred, needy of personal attention. Initiates relationship – reaches out to others. Aggressive in emotional self-expression. Out-going and sociable. Competitive in relationships. Impulsive and unstable affections. Actively creative in artistic pursuits.
Esoterically, Venus is regarded as Earth’s higher self, which has a connection going back to the days of Individualisation in ancient Lemuria. Venus played a powerful role in a triangle of force with Mercury and Sirius -seeding humanity with the “spark of mind”.
Venus rules the 5th ray of knowledge or science, but in Aries the mind is “bypassed” and direct knowledge or intuition is invoked from the higher planes:
“The power of Venus is lessened in this sign. It is a detrimental sign to Venus. The reason for this is that when the Sun is exalted [in Aries] and blazes forth in all its glory, the other lesser luminaries [Venus, Mercury] fade out.
Just as the personality is lost sight of in the light of the soul, the solar Angel, so the soul itself disappears and its power and radiance fade out when the Presence [monad or spirit], which it has hitherto veiled, appears and dominates the scene at the end of the greater world cycle.
We are told that the incarnating Minds [at Individualisation], human beings, the solar Angels, came originally from Venus, but they in turn give place to the monad, the One. Mind gives place to intuition and reason to pure perception.”13

The monad is the One essential essence of any human, utilising the soul as it vehicle, just as the soul works through the personality. In the long journey back to source through the higher initiations, the causal body of the soul is eventually destroyed and full monadic consciousness supervenes.
Speaking very broadly, the solar angels from Venus “lent” their “substance” to human souls, enabling their monads to incarnate at Individualisation. (This is a complex subject covered in the author’s, The Hidden History of Humanity – Chapter 5: Human Monads.)
Venus is in “detriment” in this Mars-ruled sign, while it “falls” in another Mars-ruled sign of Scorpio, where Venus is also regarded as intuitive – and with a similar description. Here lays a hint to the mythological relationship of Mars as the sometime lover of Venus. Venus mind, Mars emotional-physical:
“Venus, the intelligent mind, has its power lessened in this sign [Scorpio] because the intellect—having been developed and used—must now be subordinated to a higher power of the soul, the spiritual intuition.
The Son of Mind, the solar Angel, must now manifest as a Son of God. This solar Angel, when in control, must give place eventually to the Presence [Monad].
This it has hitherto veiled or hidden. Venus must wane and the Sun—as a symbol of Deity—must wax in influence and finally take its place. Such are the symbolic and esoteric significances.”14
